Messi at this point can't be fixed or motivated by any coach. If we want too see him push or play at his best. The determination should come from himself. He is the only one who can push himself to be the best.

Not true at all.

The primary motivator of the team is the coach, a great coach plays a massive role in motivating a player, especially one like Messi who can become complacent by his surrounding environment.

He isn't the kind of player to motivate himself and uplift the team, rather, he is a player who is motivated based on his surroundings.

yup I agree, thats why he performed so excellent a few years back, he had xavi who was performing like one of the beat players in the world, without him you could tell leo doesnt perform as well. Leo is the type of player that needs a lot of help in order to perform top notch

Lets see how Messi plays at the WC, if he's like his old self then i gotta say there must be something going on at barcelona.

Can't be motivated? What kind of logic is that? Unless you know his psychological profile, you have to assume that, given his past, he is able to be pushed and motivated by a good coach. He has always been or he wouldn't have come so far.

Looking at him he is anyway not a person who pushes himself and the team, he relies on people around him lifting him up, that's why he wouldn't be a good captain as well.

You should brush up on your reading comprehension. He was talking about motivation, not the help of players around him.

Logic.

The whole team struggling since January ---> Blame Messi.

I dont buy the lack of motivation bit.

Doobs

The Messiah
Calling Messi a God is not big enough a praise anymore, any other player of his class and caliber would have probably taken flight out of Barcelona to the premier league or whatever. He's showed with his renewal that he's as big fan of this club as we are.

It was the only bit of good news this year. Thank you Leo!

Prob. not yet, but he'd better know that things can't go on like this next season too. One average season can happen, two is already a sign of certain decline.

I can't believe the things I'm reading on social media today ...culés wishing Messi an injury relapse to miss the WC.

How pathetic can people be ...and they call themselves fans. Disgraceful bastards.
