Poor Leo! Scored the league-winning goal and got robbed.

Fucking Mateu Lahoz. Can't we reject this wanker? Atletico players were once again allowed to do just about anything..

Thank god Tata is history now, I'm quite confident with a proper coach and the right tactics we'll see the real Messi again next season!

Average to poor game. Didn't affect the match in a positive way even in one instance besides that fluke assist. Was to be expected though, he has the same moves and doesn't change them.

Messi was once again the best dribbler completing 5 dribbles, Alves comes in second with 2. Both he and Sanchez had 8 turnovers/were dispossessed. Alves also had a lot with 6 and Neymar 4. I think all 4 players were guilty of trying to force things which was understandable.

Some stats here for those of you that are interested.

--------------Dribbles pg------passes pg----turnover/dispossessed -----shots
2009/2010 -----4.1------------44.3--------------5.5-------------------4.7
2010/2011-----5.6------------67.7---------------4.7------------------4.5
20112012------4.8------------63.8---------------4.2------------------5.5
2012/2013-----3.8------------55-----------------3.9------------------5.1
2013/2014-----4.6------------45.3---------------3.1------------------5.2

I had no problem with any of the attackers attempting dribbles today, though I did want to see them take it more into the box and dangerous areas where they could have drawn more free kicks, yellow cards, or even penalties. But most of the times they still looked for that final pass, rather than dribble to try to draw the foul (and shoot, if open, like Alves should have). Pedro had a good juke on one of his runs, but then put in a cross instead of continuing his run into the box where he might have drawn a penalty, or got a shot off.

That's why I hate Alves' crosses. It's essentially giving up and just tossing the dice. The defenders are more likely to make a mistake going for a tackle or blocked shot than going up for a header (if they even need to; a fair share of Dani's float over everybody).

One small detail I keep noticing is that he doesn't seem aware that a defender is running behind him. Time and time again this season he's been dispossessed because he's simply unaware there's a defender behind him. It's strange because before he was very aware that defenders were running at him and he would maneuver quickly to get away from them.

Messi's goal was legit?. From what I saw, he played Really well compared to his last games. Good luck with Argentina. I want good old 10-11 Messi back

I donno what makes him slow as hell nowadays, and so easily dispossess too, even by Villa

Its is sad how easily dispossessed he is lately/this season. I was screaming at the TV every bloody time he lost the ball way to easy yesterday, he is so far of the old Messi.

Can't you guys for once give the defenders some credit instead of making every dispossession sound like it was a brain fart from the attacker.
