I thought people on here said that Messi is declining. I didnt watch the game as I got stuck in some personal stuff, but from the comments on here it looks like he played quite well.

He was only in first gear, but every time he touched the ball you saw the difference. He makes the extraordinary seem ordinary.

I hope the situation where he started coughing is nothing serious or chronic, I have seen him doing this when playing in Barca too.
Anyways, I wish him and Argentina luck in the world cup, they've waited way to long to win anything major.

Sabella (Argentina coach): "Messi's vomiting issues? It's a nerve problem. A mixture of anxiety and nerves. Tranquility is hard to have."

How can he be nervous though? its just a pointless friendly, something he has done for years now and wasnt a problem when he was 18/19, sow hy now as an accomplished adult? Even then it would be more logical if it was in high stake games rather than pointless ones like this one and the other friendly vs Romania for example.

psychological problems can be very tough to control though so that can be a problem no matter how accomplished Messi is. It's just strange how everyone talks about how much he enjoys playing, loves the game making it a reason why he plays every game yet he has nerve problems when he plays.
I'm not a doctor but logic would say one tends to reduce nerve destroying activities?

Perhaps because it was a friendly against a big, physical side just days before the WC, and he just saw what happened to Reus? I would be having a pulse of 180 as I walked on if I was him...

This is Messi, football is his life and passion. He's probably nervous for every game whether it is friendly or a final.
