Misses the point. That's exactly what you would expect with Messi-centric tactics. There is no question that such tactics (plus Messi's brilliant talent) result in Messi scoring and assisting so much. The question is how does that affect Barça play overall? You could argue that it is mostly still effective, as Barça is still one of the top 5 teams in the world, and would have won La Liga and progressed further in the CL except for Atletico's excellent defensive performance. But you could also argue that such tactics come up short against top teams, as well as make Barça far duller to watch than when the tactics were more balanced, when Messi moved off the ball more to provide triangle options in the center (other than when the ball is brought to him, as is currently the case).
