He is just pure joy to watch. So simple moves, yet no one can repeat them. His brain is all football, wired for football. No one like him.

The 1st time i saw messi throwing up was in August 2010 in Supercup 1st game vs Madrid. 2.2 was the result. He had his best seasons in the following 2 years so it does not affexts his game i think.

I can only imagine the pressure he is feeling.

I will be cheering on Argentina with every breath in my body because there is nothing more I want to see than Messi win it.

He looks frightened.

Mind games there. He makes everyone think that he is nervous or scared or whatever but then he scores 3 against Bosnia, then 3 against Iran and 4 against Nigeria.
And WOLA, 10 goals already.

Do you think Messi would accept a sponsorship offer from Nike?

He's currently on the 7th biggest boot sponsorships ever of $3.34m/year, which is below Özil (Adidas - $4.9M!!), Fabregas (Puma), Bale (Adidas - $5.5M!!!), Balotelli (Puma), Ronaldo (Nike) and Adidas' biggest ever endorsement (Beckham - $11.7M).

That deal is really too low and I'm wondering if Nike would be willing to ask a deal (considering Ronaldo) and if he'd be willing to accept one. Maybe the exact same numbers of Ronaldo ($8.35M)?

Edit: Plus imagine the brand sponsorship he could have with Nike (cf. Jordan) and the impact it could have for Barcelona.

Players get more money if they're sponsored by the same company as the club they play for. When Ronaldinho left Barca for Milan, he got about 2 million less per year from his Nike sponsorship. Messi signing with Nike would be very profitable for him. However, somehow I doubt Nike would want to have Messi along with Ronaldo. But the main thing is his Adidas contract, when it ends, what it says, etc.

Oh, yeah, could see why it'd be like that, thanks.

Been looking for when it expires for a while now, haven't found anything.

I hope he doesn't sign for Nike. He has been with Adidas his whole life(I think so). Nike boots doesn't suit him.

I guess Adidas grabbed the opportunity when they saw he'd become huge.
