Go look for my post here after the 1st half. I criticized him. But your overreactions are pathetic, sorry. And yeah, you care about him as long as he gets those, this much is clear.[/QUOTE]

Geez Flavia. You made it sound like I care about him only if he is playing well and getting the accolades. Like most of the the so-called "haters" labelled here, I deeply care about Messi in good and bad times, and I sincerely hope and wish, more than anything else, that Messi does well. We get very worried (perhaps unnecessarily) when he doesn't. Call me naive or anything you want, I so want him to win the WC and the BD's to show the world that he is inarguably the best in the world and silence all the real haters and doubters.

He was very poor first half which is down to tactics and just play bad play by him, he was forcing everything and trying to take on players when he shouldn't. As the creator he was trying to get the other forwards into the game and it was far too easy for Bosnia to defend.

Good second half when the tactics were improved, the extra forward give him space and better passing options.... little bit worried about the first touch and passing off not just him but all the Argie players. There were times when a better touch and pass would have torn Bosnia open. They need to work hard on the training ground.

That goal though... One of the best he's ever scored. What other player out there can run at that pace, do a 1-2, skip past 2 players and then get a shot that accurate and on target? Incredible.

Said it from the start of the game. That formation was pathetic. Totally left Aguero and Messi alone on an island without midfield and help against the entire Bosnian defense. Messi had no one to play with.

The very second they brought in Gago and Higuain and switched back to their 4-3-3, the entire team got loose and Messi all the sudden had people to play with.

All of you who were killing Messi in the first half should be ashamed of yourselves.

It's sad but most people talking about football doesn't know anything how tactics correlates with player performances, i've given up caring

Yeah, first half was lazy. Lucho needs to fix this.
But he shouldn't just flash here and there....more effort is needed.

I hope his foot will be OK.

Argentina have played 3-5-2 a lot and it has been fine.

Would need to check but I am sure when played it in past Messi has played behind two strikers and not as one of the front two.

3-5-2 can still be an option but it has to be the right players.

If anything Di Maria was a little disappointing, hope he finds his form as the cup progresses
