Walter Saavedra is my favorite. He doesn't go as bat shit as the other guy, but I love his word selections, velocity and command of the microphone. Having grown up with legends Vin Scully, Chick Hearn, and Bob Miller I have an admiration for quality commentators.

I agree with BarcaGirl's post...

Messi keeps bailing his NT over and over again, but just watch everyone destroy him when they lose...

Forget about the piss poor defense, the non-existent midfield, the blunt front line and the oblivious coaching, it will be Messi's fault...

Nice! Nothing on the guy above of course.

Btw, I keep meaning to ask, did you make your avatar and sig?

Sabella hasn't really transformed this team into a powerhouse in the time he's had in charge like I would have thought with such a huge talent pool to select from. They seem like an exact replica of the 2010 version.

No I didn't make them.

The potential route to the final as things stand at the moment for Argentina looks very good. They should make it to the semi finals at the very least.

Well, two scenarios for Argentina:

Scenario (1): If Argentina beats or ties Nigeria Wednesday, they will finish the group as No.1, which means they will play the runner-up of Group E, which is more likely to be Switzerland at this point (Switzerland will play Honduras while Ecuador will play France in the last group game). If they beat Switzerland, they will go on to play the winner of Belgium vs. the runner-up of Group G, which could be either Ghana or the US. If Argentina manages to get past that, they will then probably play the Netherlands (Italy also has a slight chance). If they beat the Dutch, they will likely face the winner of Germany vs. Brazil in the final.

Scenario (2): If Argentina loses to Nigeria Wednesday, they will finish the group as No.2, which means they will play the winner of Group E, which is definitely France. If they manage to beat France, they will go on to play Germany, most likely. If Argentina pulls a miracle on the pitch and beats Germany, they will then probably play Brazil in the sem-final.

Either way it is not going to be easy for Argentina, which is one of the least impressive teams in the tournament so far. They have to collectively step up their game big time to keep going.

I can see Argentina making it to the finals, I haven't been impressed by any of the big teams defenses this year, Germany and Brazil too, They all leave acres of space and the only way I see messi not scoring is if he's unlucky. I mean Iran made the grave mistake of having only one defender on messi in the 90th min and look what happened  . Key players that need to be on top form are Di Maria and Mascherano, Di Maria needs to drive the team forward and get Messi and co into good positions, Mascherano has to bring his big game "Non shall pass" play for the likes of the Dutch/Belgium.

This is the World Cup of space  It is fitting since it's in Brasil and the citizens like attacking football
