Calma, calma
Video just gets better on second viewing. The HD clips, close-up actions, slow-motion captures, great music and edits of the dribble sequences to match the beat drop. And of course the skills from Messi. Most Messi videos are so formulaic, this one has great editing. I can see people getting put off by the music, but I honestly feel it's the only genre that can match the energy within the clips. Of course, you won't put EDM on an Iniesta or Zidane video.

Valdano is just Dead wrong. He can dislike modern football but he's wrong. Today fitness is a must, everything else comes latter, and if you are talented that shows only if you can match others in everything else.
It's easy to post that article now that he won 4 MOM, but even if Belgium knocks them out you'll see same journalists blasting him.
Saving is one thing, it's good, nobody should expect Messi to run 15 km, press, tackle and jet do the magic and score all the time. He doesn't even need to move constantly like midfielders do. Attackers need moe high tempo movement, mids are moving all the time in lower pace. But if you don't open yourself, run into channels and so on you are missing a huge aspect in the game. Would that article be so welcomed after that AM game?
He is still the best, for me ever. His talent is unmatched and that will never change, never, but let's not pretend to be blind, yes we all see his fitness level is not so good.

Most EDM wouldn't be an ideal soundtrack in professional highlight vids since it's usually just repetitive, pulsating notes/sequences but this song has some more "personality" to it. Works in both the slow motion clips of Messi's skills and the quicker paced clips of Messi charging through defenders. That melody after the beat drop (1:53) is awesome, provides the perfect background to the mazy skill runs with the downbeat falling on all of the cool cuts/flicks that Messi does.

For Iniesta/Zidane/Xavi type videos I've always felt that orchestral music (along the lines of Two Steps from Hell) does the trick even if it's a bit cliche due to the fluidity and crescendo. For skill merchants like R9/Ronaldinho it's the upbeat 'Samba de Janeiro' style of music. Tribute videos with great cinematic editing are waning in the face of generic highlight reels (a la Guilherme ) so I always feel nostalgic about vids from guys like LeboAkatio that tell a story as well as showcase the spectacular moments. This Messi video isn't one of those 'tribute' style videos but the quality of editing and the music behind it set it apart from most of the common ones.

That bass when the beat drops...crazy. One of the only Messi videos I absolutely enjoyed.

Nah it just a bad choice of songs. That trap, hip hop, big room, poppy garbage is what I don't like and can't stand

Progressive House and Trace forever

Gui7herme puts the right music in his videos <3

Pretty much, Argentina without Messi is useless.
Portugal with Cristiano Ronaldo is useless.
