For Messi to run like Pedro. Doesn't matter how many goals, assists, etc he gets, all that matters is that he runs 15 km every match :coffee:

You've got the wrong idea. People just think it's a good idea for him to run slightly when in possession to create space and make a bit more of an effort when we don't have the ball because in high pressure tactics one player not putting in the shift makes it so much harder on the others.

Look at Dortmund, Lewandowksi is the striker and always works in defence.

I know, I'm joking. Sort of. Messi could up his workrate, but the shit he gets for it (and has been getting since I joined) here is way out of hand.

I was referring to this post

"Dreams are free and I want him to win the world cup .
But the reality is Messi not Messi anymore + Argentina not a strong team and are very lucky to reach this stage ."

I don't understand what exactly he means by "Messi not Messi anymore. Who else but Messi could single-handedly carry Argentina into the semis?

We are not asking for Messi to run like Pedro, but to be more available for the ball carrier, Messi used to well cover the pitch horizontally, thus establishing triangles was more easy, right now Messi move only in the axe, in a 4-3-3 he is far from the wingers and the RB/LB, that's one of our main problem regarding the offensive animation.

Well maybe he can't do that anymore, we saw that against belgium, after 60 min he was totally exhausted.

The thing is, Messi was out a damn long time in 2013. And if you couple that with Tata's alleged negligence of the player's physical state, then it would be expected that Messi, stamina wise, is not what he used to be. Lucho being the physical fitness freak he is, can hopefully fix that.

I think we're going to see messi against Real Madrid 2011 on Wednesday, in the match against Bosnia I saw glimpses of his full potential and I think he will unleash it now that he is on the edge of realising his dream. Once the defense can hold down robben enough so we can score more than them we should be fine.

He needs to turn it the fuck up. That's it.
But I have faith that nobody realizes this more than Messi himself. He is so close to what he has dreamed about. I cant even imagine him not getting there.
