I've been saying to my friends that there isn't many things i'd rather see than Messi in the WC final.
I think he will play the game of his life and we could very well see the best Messi we have ever seen.

Exactly. His off-the ball movement is dreadful right now. He'd be twice the player if he moved more without the ball. He's not even running to get into dangerous positions anymore. One of the main reasons for his recordbreaking season was him always looking to get into dangerous positions and be where the ball dropped down, which often meant getting into the penalty area at the last moment with his quick acceleration. For an example, see the goal he scored vs Real Madrid that Afellay assisted.

And not only does it hinder his own play, but it's bad for the collective game too. With more movement, he'd drag defenders out of position more, and other forwards can exploit those areas with a counter-movement.

Dreams are free and I want him to win the world cup .
But the reality is Messi not Messi anymore + Argentina not a strong team and are very lucky to reach this stage .

We knew Argentina had the easy path thus far. So even though the team played like shit they are still in the semis, but seriously the team plus Messi need to try harder against Holland.
