I am really interested to see Messi this year. What happened at the World Cup will have effected him indefinitely and hurt his pride.
But the question is: Has it effected him positively or negatively?
I truly believed that we had seen the best of Messi. Including for me what was the most important historic moment for Messi against Real Madrid in the CL semi with Mourinho's entrapment.
I find it hard to imagine another sequence of events like that for Messi. This for me is gutting.
Don't let goal and assist statistics mask the above. On a positive note I can see more a or less a injury free final years which I suppose is what matters most.
