God, it just breaks my heart watching him walk around in crutches.

I just want to see the real Leo back.

Shudder to think about the club after he retires.
He really is 30%of the team at least.

just have to cross that bridge when we come to it although he has some years left. Id like to think his heir apparent will with be Neymar, a hot prospect in la Masia or they will have to spend but Messi is a once in a generation player. Irreplaceable

Messi is only 28 and doesn't rely on speed to be effective. He isn't as pacey as he was when he was younger, but that doesn't even have to do with his age.

He still has many years at top form.

Part of that is perfectly reasonable as he is the GOAT, the rest is the consequence of having to shape the squad to benefit from his genius

I would've liked to see Neymar used in the Messi role tbh

Using a bad translation.

Leo Messi and his family believe false information recently published by the newspaper El Mundo and have decided to take legal action against this medium. According to them, "the Office of Madrid sees evidence of alleged wrongdoing in the hypothetical tax charges made by Lionel Messi or by the foundation in his name that manages his father, Jorge Horacio Messi, on account of the performance of several charity matches in Latin America in the summers of 2012 and 2013 ". That game was the tour that made Messi and his friends against the world '.

This newspaper claims to have had access to documents showing that Messi and his family "have not declared to the Spanish Treasury the profits made by the alleged conduct of these meetings, which would constitute tax fraud".

In a statement dated yesterday, Messi says that neither he nor his father nor the Leo Messi Foundation "have never been part of any criminal proceedings" related to the organization of those games. He also claims that, as has been stated before the Civil Guard, the Messi "not received any amount" for organizing these friendlies. It also states that "there is no legal or judicial basis to continue insisting on linking the player with the facts" and that the cause is instructed about.

Finally, in his note Messi and secure environment that will not tolerate the lack of journalistic rigor of those media are bent on associating with false or injurious to his reputation made and instructed its lawyers (Cuatrecases, Gonçalves Pereira) "that initiate appropriate legal action to ensure respect for his honor and integrity. Gerardo Martino: "I'll be keeping an eye on Messi's progress. Maybe he'll be able to make it for the matches against Brazil and Colombia."
