How can anyone be the main candidate for the next BdO if 2016 hasn't even started?
well I mean from August till now Neymar has been phenomenal, I like to start counting from the beginning of the season, doesn't mean my criteria is right though

His long layoff has kind of desensitized us to his dribbling brilliance, something we haven't really had the chance to see yet since his return. It still amazes me how easily Messi can drop players like flies with skill and body movement alone.

Really well put together video, groups similar skills together, multiple angles, really gives a chance to see how he uses his techniques.

And, though not visibly flashy, his lateral slalom run vs Madrid to pre-assist Alba to set up Suarez goal was top quality (topped with a stunning pass out of nowhere).

He just had agility for that as a kid, he was born with it. Watch how easily he drops players at that age, amazing

Really unique breed of player, he still somewhat has that dribbling style now, he was just born to play football

Damn it, those nutmegs last season were so filthy.
And note how Messi turns 3v2 situations into 1v6 situations instead of passing it to his teammates. He and Neymar are good but are they good enough for Barca's carpet passing? :pedro:

Such a troll. :) Big difference: Messi comes out the other side and *produces* something. Neymar v1.0 a) often lost the ball, b) got fouled, c) had no clue what to do with the ball even if he succeeded with his take-on, d) made a poor pass. That is *nothing* like Messi. And honestly, it's an unfair comparison- Messi is an alien, no one else comes even close.

Certainly, there are times Messi attempts something when he has other options, and once in awhile it's a poor decision, but that is because he actually often can make something of it, usually repeatedly in a single game. But, if you look at the video, you also see how often he uses his teammates, or uses his dribble to create a pass - look at the video of the Suarez goal I posted. The buildup is a bunch of team interplay which Messi takes part in. He doesn't get the ball and immediately try a take-on. When he does finally dribble, it looks useless, but somehow, out of nowhere, he spots Alba and makes a perfect 15 yard pass- all while on the dribble through a crowd of Madrid players. It's remarkable.

A good example of Messi *creating* teamplay with his dribble is the one with Argentina where he dribbles to the top of the box and passes- where his clueless teammate turns to shoot instead of playing the wall pass back to Messi, who would have had a 2 vs keeper opportunity on the left.

Fucking pastore, he was so extremely selfish, same with di maria and only had one game. His teammates let Messi down big time while he was easily the best player in the whole tournament. Yet people act like Messi sucked big time and they were awesome troughout. Still pisses me off thinking about it. Ungrateful country.

Di maria and Pastore Tevez,,, they don't know how to look around and pass for teamplay always run foward like chicken head. extemely selfish players all.
Argentina needs someone who can cover deeper, and run off the ball to make space, rakitic type player.
at least one of Dimaria and Pastore should be out. but first of all they need to hire competent coach now!!
I really hope to watch messi hold worldcup before his retirement. really.. my lifetime dream
