Maybe us fans are to blame. In this era clickbaiting headlines means huge money since for some reason we are more interested in gossip and bs than football related relevant questions.
So obviosuly a reporter will ask stupid questions about cr7, neymar, ballon d'or, leaving Barca, epl, world cup etc. just to get a nice clickbait headline.
Logically footballers with their pr training avoid these easily (except for the Dani/Pique and Ronaldo's of the world), so interviews either get very boring like Messi's or pety and milked with responses by everyone in the weeks after.
All by all a greedy broing circus that makes football fans look into 15 year old gossiping girls.
Same reason why a marketing hypejob like Kim Kardashian gets famous for no reason or why Nicki minaj has 1000x more hits on youtbe than Stephen Hawking explaining the universe.
