Gerd Müller has to be the greatest striker ever. All the records used to belong to him, he did it in a normal era, a top 5 league. Even with Pele logic he is up to nearly 1500 goals I think. Truly bossed it consistently year after year. I compare Messi in la liga currently to him back then statwise.
If Messi can leave with similair stats like he ended up producing it would be amazing. Logically preferably with twice the awards.

Messi will be at least on a par with Muller by the time he hangs up his boots stats wise am guessing, certainly in club games.

I dont think he wil ever get close to 91 again, we probably wont live to see anybody reach that.
His numbers were insane even in the summer and then afterwards he scored like a brace everytime we played for a few months.

its crazy how such a little guy could reach such feats as scoring 91 goals a season and argubly being one of the best scorers football has seen

add to that his other out of this world abilities such as dribbling and passing vision.. How can a guy that posesses these kind of skills not be the goat?

It will be interesting to see how Messi plays for Barca when he's 32, 33. I can see him playing as a midfielder/Playmaker, getting more assists than goals at that age.
