6 Ballons for Messi

but what if he wins 7??
I don't know where maradroga finds the nerve to talk shit about messi after he single-handedly ruined argentina's chances in 2010, a year when messi was on fire and in much better physical condition than 2014.

Imagine if he ends up pulling a Giggs and play for us until he is 40.

Just to put it into perspective.

2016-17: 29
2017-18: 30
2018-19: 31
2019-20: 32
2020-21: 33
2021-22: 34
2022-23: 35
2023-24: 36
2024-25: 37
2025-26: 38
2026-27: 39 (retires at the end of the season, a few weeks before turning 40.)

- If he averages 2 trophies per season, then he will end up having won around 50 trophies.

- If he averages 40 games per season, then he will end up having played around 1100 games.

- If he averages 25-30 goals per season, then he will end up having scored around 800 goals.

- If he averages 20 assists per season, then he will end up having assisted around 450 goals.

All these 'legends', Maradona, Pele, haven't found a meaning in their life after football. So they spent the last 50 years travelling the world saying how good they once were. Messi shits on both of them so the only thing they can do now is undermine his performances because shitty press needs something to write about.

Lionel Messi: "I knew Neymar from being at Santos. I knew his father from even earlier, having met him at a game for Deco's charity."

Messi: "In footballing terms, I knew of Neymar for what he was doing in Brazil and the Copa Libertadores."

Messi: "I was very surprised by Neymar's personality. He is still very young and joyful, he lives happily. An incredible person."

Messi on his relationship with Neymar & Suarez: "It's natural, on its own, it was not a relationship that we were searching for."

Messi: "It's all real. We began to get on really well off the pitch and that soon leads to things being easier on the pitch."

Messi: "Things were easier with the three of us being South Americans & so we live through similar things. That brought us together a lot."

Messi on his relationship with Neymar as compared to with Ronaldinho: "When I came to Barça, I was very young, as Ney was when he arrived."

Messi: "Ronaldinho, and all the Brazilians in the squad at the time, took me under their wing. They treated me spectacularly well."

Messi: "Ney integrated himself very quickly into the group due to the type of person he is."

Messi: "I had a great relationship with all Brazilians & I continue to do so with Ronaldinho, Deco, Motta, Sylvinho, I still speak to them."

Messi: "Neymar always says he is a fan of mine & that embarrasses me a little, because he tells me to my face that he is a fanatic of mine."

Messi: "Even when Neymar came, I realised that when he would say it, he would mean it. It is how he felt and it made me very happy."

Messi: "A kid like Neyamr would say these things about me and that we can continue to have that good relationship to this day."

Messi on being a reference point in world football: "I treat it with calmness, trying to be in each moment how I actually am in reality."

Messi: "I do not have to be false, I am as you see me, and it makes me happy that people admire me and take me as an example."

Messi: "The truth is I am normal in everyday life, like when I am at home."

Messi: What would you have been if not a footballer? "I have no idea. Since I was little, I only dreamt of playing football, nothing else."

Messi on his future: "I don't think about it. I do not have anything planned out at the moment, I am focused on enjoying the moment."

Messi: Would Neymar get in Argentina team? "Neymar would have a place wherever he wanted. A player like him could play wherever he wished."

Messi: "Playing football is what I like to do and when the time comes, I will see what I end up doing. At the moment, I have no idea."

Messi: Maradona or Messi? (Laughs) "Maradona."

Messi: World Cup or Ballon d'Or? "World Cup."
