If things don't get better, he should leave. Sorry.

I heard commentator say he was Barca's best player tonight.

context: I was playing in door soccer in Barca jersey(snif) and they showed the game in the background on projector and picked up some things and commentator said something along the lines of 'Even when Barca is playing dreadful, Messi still manages to create some magic. Unbelievable player.'

He was. He created everything and he fought hard. Shaked off so many tough challenges and kept driving forward.

Best player by far but still feel team pass too slowly and look to him more than should.

No variation and rely on Messi magic too much in games like this.

I'm happy he is at the end of the contract.

I usually don't approve of players speaking out but Leo should really leverage some of his power here and demand some changes before agreeing to a new contract. It would light fire under people's asses.

Wasn't it confirmed already that he would extend it?

The last 2 games might have finished differently had those 2 through balls at 1-0 down been converted. The only one to create any danger tonight.

The man tried so hard, delivered 2 great assists, one out of which should have turned into a goal! Not to mention the pass to Umtiti would ve been handled much better n possibly a goal if it had been someone good in the air (not blaming Umtiti here). N Messi did those things while being heavily marked! To be fair I d say he did great, although wasn't in Goat form but was the best Barca player on the pitch, no doubt!

Messi will never return to 14-15 form until he has a major resurgence again, but with him fast approaching 30 I don't see it. He can still play for this club until he's 35 at a world class level using his vision alone.

Sad that at a time when he needs a few teammates to help him out he is left on an island stranded alone. He cannot dribble 5 players anymore, that burst of pace is not there anymore, but even then he is still burning desire in him to win. He cannot help it if his teammates bottle every chance he creates. Sad that his last few prime seasons will be spent at this tyre fire of club.

If things do not turn out well after this transfer window we a truly screwed.

Would not blame him at all if he decides to leave soon.

To be honest, I d not like to see Messi play as a playmaker though! Maybe m different but I value his goal scoring ability the most n we need a quality midfield for him to make the most use out of it
