Be there? Probably. Be at his best form? Not very likely.

So unless Argentina will suddenly make a great team over the next 4 years that could win WC even without Messi at his best then next year is his last chance to win it.

This is Messi we're talking about. He's been playing at walking speed for years and still looks a cut above everyone else.

The legs may go by the time he's 34 going on 35, but the mind won't. He transitions into a midfielder over that time and it's Xavi on steroids.

Difference is Xavi ran a lot. I can see Messi more like Pirlo.

To me the most Messi will ever be as a midfielder is an AM that will need legs to cover his lack of running.

The Xavi comparison fails as Xavi was non stop and his role requires legs to get about pitch that Messi doesnt have.

Messi will never be a real midfielder. Even when he drops deep it is to create goal scoring opportunities. He will never be a player interested in build-up and getting the ball just for the sake of keeping possession. He only circulates the ball with that intent when games are done.

Its just not in him, it's not his style. Messi is a no. 10, he'll never be a cm. Just as Floyd Mayweather will never be a pressure fighter, and Golovkin will never dance around the ring. Styles, bruh.

That's what I am saying. But many here believe that he will be playing deeper when he gets older. I think Messi will play a similar role to Totti.

I think being AM is definitely on the cards -may be as soon as next season- but after that it depends on his evolution as a player. He is the kind of player who adapts to his skills and age very well. Unlikely that he will be ever CM/deep play maker but with him never say never

I think it is possible he will play even nearer to goal to compensate for his lack of defending and pressing when he is about 34-35.

Antonella and Sofia opened a store in Barcelona. The stars there were obviously others.

Opening stupid shops with Suarez, and then going on to go 1-0 down vs Eibar, leave the commercial stuff till after the season ends FFS.
