Considering how inept his teammates are, Messi's pertormance is already considered good. Some of the most dangerous chances were started by Messi; I literally dont see any other players making a dangerous pass or creating as much space. Except for that miss which was intervened and deflected right on time, which was AGAIN the result of yet another one-on-one miss by his teammate Benedetto, overall Messi had a far superior game.

And another one was Gomes, where he could have chose squared it or pull it back to Messi, instead chose to take a weak ass shot at a very tight angle. One of the best link up plays only to be ruined in the end. They also like to cross in where none of them in the box are of any slight bit of aeriel threat. Yet still does it again and again, which was absolutely futile every single time. Ironically, the best cross was from Messi to Benedetto.

Bunch of clowns. They dont deserve to even be in the 6th place.

I've read that it's been almost 1 year since someone else apart from him scored in a qualifier. Argentina is just a shit team and to be honest they don't deserve to be in the World Cup if they don't make it. Their style of play is very underwhelming.

In hindsight his performance yesterday was pretty good. Involved in all but 1 dangerous attacks from Argentina.

When you have to go through 2 sets of defenders every time you tend to loose the ball now and again. Certainly in the 2e half he was excellent but let down by inept finishing from 2e rate players once again.

Very disapointed in Sampaoli. Come on argentina have better players than the trash that played against peru. Etheir he is clueless or he is also victim of political decisions.

if only he decided to play for Spain.. there would be no GOAT debate but here we are with Ronaldo about to equal his ballon d'ors (and probably get another as i doubt were winning a CL with this team) its really tragic how the final top years in his career are heading. our board have fucked him over and hes still carrying us, playing for a national team who don't deserve him, too busy sucking on Maradonas dick.

he still hasn't even signed his contract yet, i wouldn't be suprised if he leaves and i won't blame him either (unless its PSG :lol:)

I just wonder why Messi went back to the National team?

Argentina are just a mess. Whether it's players, formations, tactics, the federation etc. They are a fucking mess. It shouldn't be Messi's job to bail out Argentina and Barcelona all the time. If they don't qualify for the World Cup Messi will quit, I'm sure of that.
