Team is not garbage obviously, but anyone can see how the squad planning have gone wrong and this shit continues to happen like this summer. What we needed the most was a World Class midfielder and we got none.

Take Messi out of this team and it would most likely end 3rd, if not 4th this season and it's not even an exaggeration. There have been four standout performers. Messi, Busquets, Umtiti and ter Stegen and the one putting the opponent under pressure and scoring the goals and creating them is the former.

While it's not as bad as made out to be, it's certainly not that good of a squad either. Several holes covered by a few players and most of it by one, Messi.

I dont think Barca will win CL this year, they are too weak and the other teams like City, Psg are too strong. Its UNBELIEVABLE that the greatest player in the history of football has only 1 Cl in 7 years won while playing at Barca. Everybody complaining that he wont win WC but look first at barca, one CL in seven years isnt appropiate to his master class.

EDIT: Okay, you mean in the last 7 years, including the CL in progress. Well, okay: he's won 2 in 8, 3 in 10, 4 in 13 (assuming he doesn't win this year).

And, if you look at the teams that won, it's very BELIEVABLE. Just look at some of the teams that won during the Messi years. Not all of them were great teams, not even better than Barça that year. In a knockout contest, you can never count out the impact of a little bit of simple luck.

Of course they have the power to create the narrative that Ronaldo was better. The people that have actually watched both play will be far outnumbered by those who haven't in a couple decades and there will be a lot of revisionist history going on.
