Lol bullshit. Firstly, Real Madrid only needed a draw because they had already a 3 points advantage over Barca before the game. Then Casemiro scored and Real parked the bus to protect the lead. The match became open only in the second half after Rakitic scored.

You also forgot that Messi scored 3 goals in 4 matches in the league against Atletico, a top side that defends deep and well.

Nope not bullshit.

Real played that game like they thought they could batter Barca and effectively win the league making a statement. They played more open than normally do v Barca and Messi killed them for it.

Never forgot anything about Messi scoring v Atletico.

Yes discussing the CL and not sure would class Atletico of last season as all that strong defensively against the top sides either going.

Not saying he has been shit and not scored in every game anyway as clearly said he was Barcas best player away to Juve as well.

That same season Atletico got to the CL final they put out Barca and Messi was poor.

He scored in both games against Atletico in the league in 2016 when they reached the UCL final.
He also scored 2 goals against Juventus this year.

Again... talking about the tight CL knock out games against the top sides who defend deep and he has struggled against them in recent years in those matches.

In 2016 he virtually went missing when it came to Atletico in the CL knockouts.

True but Ronaldo in 2016 went missing against Atletico both in the league and in the UCL final.

The Copa America in 2020 isn't a special edition of the tournament like it was in 2016, CONMEBOL just wanted to make the tournament align with the EUROS, so these back to back Copas are going to be a one time thing. After 2020 the next Copa will be in 2024.
