Tebas obviously is trying to brownose Messi for the sake of the prestige and reputation of La Liga.

And I agree with him.

I think he's being genuine. I mean most people who watch football say the same about Messi and those that don't say it know it deep down

He never even uttered anything remotely like that before, certainly not before Ronaldo left Real Madrid and La Liga. He is really working hard to save the league from sinking in terms of popularity.

True but I suppose he had to be careful not to upset Ronaldo and lose the second best player in the world and all the money that comes with him in the league. But seen as that ship has sailed im sure he's glad he can finally speak his mind. I don't think Messi is leaving la liga any time soon so he didn't need to mention it either. It's just the truth

It obviously does matter for him, otherwise he would not get a renewal every other year or gt hundreds of millions for his renewal/loyalty last year. I mean if anyone deserves it its Messi but to say he would happily play for free is false imo.
Only time I ever heard a player do soething like that was Tomassi for Roma who played for minimumwage for a while out of loyalty.

He said money didn't motivate him to play better.

Don't see this happening. Guess he will be training on his own for a while until his arm has healed fully so he can make body contact with opponents again. Good to see him back on the pitch though.
