Still looks off the pace compared to normal. I wished he could just take over games completely like vs Spurs more often. Impossible to do that when Atleti is so compact but his intensity is so low at times. And we know he got it when he wants to.

Imagine if we played him with Suarez, Dembele AND Malcom. Two more players who actually goes on forward runs and moves infront of him. Instead he has 4 CMs to play with.

Very quiet game from the greatest , but he is playing with probably the worst squad he has ever played with in his time at the club. For to many very average players around him.

When everyone on the pitch are out of form. I would say it on yhe coach.

yes, the tactic is "pass the ball to Messi and let him do all the work". It's fucking toxic. It is either tactics or our players' attitude towards Messi, like an obligation to feed him balls. I hoped that our players would continue their great gameplay that they showcased while Messi was injured (and they actually learned to play without him), but all of that went to shit as soon as Leo came back.

Messi himself said a few weeks ago that everything should not be one(his) player's shoulders.

At this rate I don't even know who to blame. The players losing their balls knowing the guy is capable of doing everything himself and bail them out or the manager with his shit system.

Not his greatest game but a lot better then what i'm reading here from the usual trolls.

Dribbling was pretty good and decisive with the assist.

Valverde out. Its simple, you have player with the best key pass of all time, and you give him no one to play with. You cant rely on alba only, there should be one or two more players on the field with similar capabilities that he can choose from. And thats deadly, i mean holy fuck deadly. Overall, he had average game, but only because of ev. Put malcom or dembele in the line up, instruct semedo to go more upfront, replace pique with lenglet and you have enough pace upfront and in the back. Only idiot like valverde couldnt see that
