He is destroying keepers' confidences for fun in the last few years.

Firstly destroyed Courtois and now DDG, seemingly.

Grim Reaper version of Messi versus Liverpool on Wednesday.

Last 2 times Messi pulled this out in a CL semi finals, he single handedly destroyed Bayern Munchen and Real Madrid.

True but at the tome it looked like Ronaldo was en route to a historic world cup and 6th ballon d'or while Messi would crash out in the group stage without even a single goal or assist.

this is true actually.. ironic Messi was toying with Ronaldo's fanclub team aka United in the CL whilst Ronaldo and Juve get knocked out by good old Ajax on the same night

Messi is delighted with how things are going on and off the pitch. The Argentine has noticed that he has reached the decisive stage in the best possible conditions, physically he is 100% and it seems like he is enjoying the happiest moment of his life right now. [sport]

Whatever happens in this tie, he should be devoid of all blame. Him not turning up in CL knockout games is a massive myth. Last 2 seasons he has carried us in every knockout victory, 3 against Chelsea, 2 goals 2 assist vs Lyon, 2 goals vs Man U, yet he gets blamed for Roma because no one else steps up if he doesn't. 7 golazos and 2 assists in his last 8 CL knockout games (while his teammates only got 7 in total, nearly half of which were own goals ) and he is apparently a CL flop and bottler:blondemessi:

This is a war of strategy. EV's factor is more important at the moment.

Liverpool had lost two or three times in ucl this season, all in group against tough teams. let's see what we can get from those losses. But look also the other leg when they win back.

We should not depend on messi too much, but he is still our main source of creativity and fire power.

A two goal win is great, but a win is enough. You cant expect any team to win big against the current red.

65 goals and assists at age 31/32. It's no wonder that VVD paid high respect to this guy. But we must play with high respect agains the red too.
