Don't like comparisons either but yes, Suarez is better for the moment. We also must not forget Neymar had brilliant service this season from Messi and Suarez and he didin't assist them not even close as much in return. Neymar is a top class player that can still improve greatly imo so the best out of him is yet to come in my view !

Neymar's assist total does not tell the full story. Yes he can improve, but the narrative that he did not create for others or was on the lower end is severely overstated.

And someone mentioned overall play dont ignore things like

And last I saw he had way more tackles also, just cant find the number right now. This was as of June 2nd in the Liga only

for my part, i don't trust these stats (not the defensive stats though). Never once heard a reasonable definition of chance created or key pass. If someone could actually show the plays in question, great. Even G+A have to be taken with a pinch of salt. The messi/ronaldo "rivalry" proves that (among other far more misanthropic things )

Just watching him play, it's clear that neymar must have extremely hard standards fitting his potential and hype, he's surpassed expectations in goalscoring, but has been very wasteful as well, missed opportunities, ill-timed passes, Messi-obsession, a bit too much on the diving end still (though neymar actively provokes fouls) and clear lack of vision. All things he can improve upon. Suarez is far more complete as of now, not perfect, but more complete.

Definitely and to create a rivalry within Barcelona, it wont work of course.
I think Messi has it locked, people are not as sold yet with Neymar as they are with Messi and Ronaldo, allthough its greatly improving.
Neymar could definitely end up being second over Ronaldo this year.

Suarez won't even be in top 5. Especially after wc incident. Plus it is hard to say who played better for barca.. ney or suarez. I think both played a key role.

On his ability and performance yes. But i just don't think people have forgotten about that incident. He was not even in top 25 last season after having an amazing season.

I think Suarez was about equal with Neymar this year. But Suarez will not get nearly the plaudits his play deserves in a voted prize like the Ballon D'or. There have been too many controversies. The biting, the racial abuse, and the Ghana handball. I think perhaps he'll crack the top 10 this year, but he won't be top 5 like he deserves. Neymar will definitely be top 5, and has a really good chance to be 3rd, and perhaps 2nd if Brazil wins the Copa America.
