I think he emasculated Getafe's defenders. Got a penalty, should have gotten another one, got two goals, both proper striker material. Some insane dribbles along the way. What more do you want?

Didn't we lamented the fact that he needs to improve his finishing? The man did just that.

Straight up great game. The only reason he's not MotM is because Messi was Messi.

Getafe defender had him in his pockets?

Didn't say he was bad, but wasn't A+ mates, I didn't check the stats but I recall 3 or 4 times him trying to dribble way too static and got dispossesd, Neymar on full form is way way way better than this unless you guys have forgotten what he was like only 3months ago.

Anyway, you guys are waaaaay too defensive about this now, nothing negative can be said about Neymar, duely noted !! :)

Vintage Nerman today. He can be even sharper of course, but was better than just about any other top attacker out there.

It was always like that. Welcome to the den of Neymar's fanboys where every critique is unwelcome and then you get casual personal abuse.
They bullied BBZ and few others out but won't be doing the same on my watch.

TBF some of the users make it a mission to hate on every young players for whatever dumb reason like "lacking football iq" etc.

And then there are those who will try to find any little minor fault of his and blow them wildly out of proportion, all the while they conviently ignore the positives.

I'm not sure what's most annoying.

Yeah big conspirancy going on.

I agree btw. that his game was not A+ because he was too wasteful for the last 30 minutes and he has already showed that he is able to play at a higher level. The only thing I was laughing about is that the Getafe defender had him in his pocket. After a 6:0 win where our front line tore them apart at will.

 "A+" is a figure of speech. It's like when you say he has to give 150%.

I suppose when someone says Messi is "god" or "not human" I should reply that he isn't, because he's due to die some day like the rest of us.

Praising or criticising are normal. Part of having and sharing opinions on forums.

Getting upset reading it is childish and making personal remarks over it simply moronic.

Messi will not die, not in my heart at least

You guys, I love Neymar (check out his previous thread where BBZ and I went on for pages about him), and looking forward to seeing him renew and keeping tearing teams apart with Barça, but admitedly I'm a bit disapointed with him lately, may be because at some point I was all for him getting the 20M/year he was asking for because he was deserving them at the time, he's not deserving them anymore, and I want that October Neyboy back (I'm sure his dad isn't lowering his demands proportionally to Ney's drop in level) !

I don't see why it would be ok to criticize Messi (you in particular serghei) every possible chance for supposedly not running enough, and then when it's Neymar - to whom we owe a billion times less than to Messi - it's a sacrilege.

I still think he was a bit too wastefull, and I don't see him being super fresh as he could be, and when you think that he wasted an exceptional opportunity for rest, yeah I'm not in the mood of cutting him too much slack, that is all :)

Hopefully he'll do (even) better on Wednesday.

He still tries too many tricks when games are won, which I worry will get him hurt.

He still makes the wrong decisions when we are attacking, which I find frustrating at times.

What I really would applaud him for and admire, is that he shows his intent who ever we play.He takes the game to the opposition, puts them on the back foot every time.I know it was Getafe today but in the CL Final last yr he was looking to cause Juve problems from the start.

Decent prospect

Haha, no no no, I'd rather be injured myself than Messi, misphrased that

You get what I mean though, I want the "A+" Neymar back :)

He obviously had more freedom with Messi out. But Messi does it 2 or 3 classes better so we are a better team. Neymar had a slump but seems like he is back to his old self
