Too bad I'm not gif master to give visual proofs. Messi is goat, but I wish to see more sacrifice from time to time, especially in games where ball doesn't come to him so easy.
What makes me so angry about Suarez is that he can fuck up some of the most easiest passes that can make goal scoring chances.
Also he rarely wins areal challenges...most of the time he tries to make a run in hope that the ball will go over the defender.

dakt, Messi is perfectly capable of sacrificing. Last season has plenty of examples as to this fact. Also, Neymar's role is tactically assigned to be more defensive. He's the one that drops to complete the 2 banks of 4 in prolonged defensive possessions and Rakitic is the one that covers the right side. Messi's role is clearly secondary presser (Suarez main) and main offensive outlet, hence why he stays high and almost always initiates offensive moves after ball recuperation.

I also do not understand why people are so fixated on players expending unnecessary energy on a tie that was well in hand, and that at half speed were able to close with a 3-1 victory. It's simply stupid for them to break themselves under these circumstances.

Messi didn't help out in defense nearly as much as Ney did today.
That being said both were good today but Ney was MOTM, the only fault in his game was looking for Messi one time too many.

Hope to see more of this as time goes on. His passing in my eyes has already improved immensely since he first arrived in Barca. Not just his willingness but the quality of passes as well.
