Not even spectacular? You can't possibly believe the clueless nonsense you let out, can you?

He should totally stop doing things like..

ThunderousVeneratedFinwhale-size_restricted.gif

So, he basically receives the ball somewhat close to an opponent's box.
Then he runs towards our goal, and makes an unneeded trick on a center of a pitch.
So, basically: when Neymar receives the ball=our team is close to an opponent's goal.
10 seconds later, after Ney's awesome trick, we are much further from an opponent's box and 5 new opponents returned into a defense while he was doing the trick, so basically our team is in a much worse position and we have to fight against way more defenders this time to create a chance to shoot.

Lol.

A textbook example of unneeded trick which led to nowhere except to pleasing the crowd.

You guys need to do some research about tricks for pleasing the crowd and actual tricks which lead to something significant on a field.

Disagree. Barca are up 3-1, Neymar gets the ball, does a trick, which for many is impressive, even if doesn't lead to a goal or a dangerous situation. There's is nothing wrong with that. You need some perspective. Not every trick has to lead to a chance or a goal in order to have value. You call it unneeded, while others call it entertainment. A trick in itself can have value. Maybe not for you, because you seem to see tricks and their purpose through a narrow prism. That's fair, that's your view on tricks. Others view and value tricks differently, and for them a trick can have value in itself. For me, given the context: at home (Barca fans watching live) and score is 3-1, I myself find nothing wrong with it.

Watch that clip again before typing out these ridiculous articles you call posts.
Neymar receiving the ball about 20 yards outside and also backing the opponents goal, has only Messi in his blind side, has 6 defenders in front of goal, and decides to wait for back up, using his skills to create the space for himself. And you say that is a wrong move?
you obviously never played the game. Stick to just analyzing and drawing lines and heat maps.

I think we should sell him to Madrid and see what happens? . .
I bet then a lot of people here will be happy.

Hilarious how he's getting more abuse than Messi & Suarez combined. I can understand Messi because of the injury but Suarez always gets a pass on here.

Very true. Some people are obsessed with his failure, and can't help themselves. It's bizarre. I thought he was OK, but not clinical or very effective. He normally gives A. Madrid a lot of trouble. I think the opposition shut down every striker however, so it's a testament to their game plan on defense.

As Bojan mentioned, Suarez gets a pass because he has had a good year. But it he certainly hasn't been above getting criticism when he goes on a run of bad form.

Furthermore, Suarez doesn't attract as much off the pitch attention so he is less talked about in general.

Plus Suarez runs like a mad dog and earns his paycheck and always has team in first place.

I wouldn't call Neymar a success so far in Barcelona. He still needs to prove a lot of things looking at the price the club payed for him and still pay in terms of image and reputation.
He needs to get back to a top form and keep it for a whole season.

What about winning champions league, he was the lead scorer in that champions league title, tied with Messi and C.Ronaldo. Helped Barca win the league title super copa, etc. What is success?

Nah, we would have won anyway with ~Super Pedro~.

You joke, but some people genuinely believe Pedro would be better for this team than Neymar.

It's quite ridiculous how little respect Neymar is given and how selective memory people have when it comes to him.
