This has to be a joke. 8 trophies in 3 years where he had good amount of contribution in all of them. If thats failiure I don't know what success is.

I'm not talking about trophies here. He's been playing with some of the best players ever so he's not the one to thank for these 8 trophies. We have to thank the whole group.

Anyway, here, I'm talking about him taking responsability the same way he did last year when messi got injured but for a longer time and on a season-basis.
I really like Neymar but he lacks regularity and this is frustrating because we all know how much he could provide us on the long term but in my view, he doesn't catch up the expectations at the moment.

I don't care if he scores 3 goals tomorrow against Gijon then does nothing in the following two games. I prefer to watch him score a goal in each game and perform at the highest level.
There's just too much bullshit going on with his life, too many advertising, shit going on with justice (etc). All these things make it more complicated for him to reach this next step.

We do look weaker than in 2015 and opponents gotten stronger.

We'll see, when you have Messi everything is possible.

Yes, we don't look amazing right now, but it's only been a few games. Other teams are not looking very strong either, RM had a couple of tight games this season, Bayern aren't at their best, Atlético are definitely worse. Real Madrid were horrible last season up to the last few weeks and they won the CL, we looked worse than with Tata until Sociedad game in 2015 and went on to win the triple. Point is, everything can change any second and you can't judge what will happen in the entire season just because of few games at the start of the season. We are Barcelona, our chances of winning the CL can never be slim.

Can't believe people are questioning Neymar right now. He's always one of the best players on the pitch, even when we lose or he doesn't score. You may have your own opinion on his lifestyle but he is always one of our better players on the pitch.

Well.. I don't know if you watched the first half of the game but he's been the most disappointing player on the pitch so far.
I would love to agree with you on that but it's not the case this season... nor in the second part of last season.

He wasn't much better in the second half, though... Scored twice so that's always good, but still nowhere near the level that's expected from him...

He was involved in almost all goals. I don't know what level people expect, but he won't be like Messi, being super consistent or making mesmerizing stuff every other game.

If this "performance" is what you call good for Neymar, than you expectations for him a very low. That red card for Gijon was the best thing that happened for Neymar.

Thought he did pretty well second half. Brought the ball forward, but didn't keep it too much to himself, and did great with the goals he was involved in.

This guy makes lots of useless individual movements most of the time (needless to say that tire himself out more ), just pass the ball in the right time ffs.
