its bizarre as earlier this season we were seeing some clutch finishing and terrible passing. hes now improved his passing yet lost all ability to finish

Same here, when he's on, opponents have to cover him aswell because he is the only guy besides Messi who can do something on his own. Without him, its basically cover Messi and job nearly done.

His presence in itself unsettles the defence because of his dribbling and pace.
