Honestly, Vinicius might be 3 years younger, but Vinicius has already more Clasico experience than Dembele as crazy as it might sound.
Tonight Vinicius started his second Clasico while it was the first start ever for Dembele in this opposition.
Plus Dembele is back from injury. For me it doesn't look like he's back to his very best.

Now if we look at the whole game, Vinicius did have a better game. Vinicius was a constant danger, great in build-up, great in dribbling, great pace, great movement, but he lacked end product big time.

Dembele on the other hand looked passive, asleep, had just one great dribble (the one where Carvajal hit the floor) but he still killed RM in just 2 actions.

Thats what quality players does, they dont need to be "on" all the time like lesser players, because one action, one piece of play will lead to a goal, while lesser players have to compensate by working tirelessly the whole match to make something happen.

Vinicius did have a brilliant game; great talent there - But, in his defence, Dembele didn't have no support from rest of our attack; numerous times he didn't have no option to make any pass from the wings!

I think I posted this after first half, when we looked aboluste dog poo and Dembele. Dembele won the game for us in the second half, so in the end, not so bad game.

Sums it up perfectly.

Dembélé should start on the right on Saturday. His link-up play with Semedo is much better than his options on the left. Semedo had to deal with Reguilón and Vinicius on his own. Reguilón can't allow himself so much freedom offensively with Dembélé on his side. Should be a win-win-situation.

I dont know if he is instructed to it or its just his way of playing but with his speed and agility he should do more of those runs behind the defence. No one beside alba does it and its so freak effective. more then that he should try and dribble past his direct opponent even if it means he is gonna fail a couple of times.

I guess the good part in this comparison is that in a weak game for him Dembele still had more end product than Vinicius had in his best game yet probably.

Dembele and Vinicius are opposites. Vinicius looks good in his overall movement and technique, but lacks cold blood and tenacity when he has to make a decision. Dembele looks off the pace, half asleep in many instances, but then has moments where he just makes stuff happen on his own and the important part is that those things are very quantifiable for the team, i.e. goals and assists.
