What did u expect? The guy is constantly runnin out of options when he breaks cause the other guys cant keep up. Dembele is forced to play at a ridiculously slow pace here at Barca with alot less freedom than he had before.
Even Neymar would be struggling here

Don't miss Neymar at all. His dumbass self dug his own grave.
As for Dembele, The slow possession system which contains questionable off the ball movement and the fact both Suarez and Messi are slow as balls in the front line certainly doesn't help. So many times Dembele will be on the break and Suarez and Messi etc are struggling to keep up due to Dembele's pace alone.
While Dembele has some flaws no doubt, I think a good portion of his flaws have to do with the fact the system and a number of players just cannot keep up with him.

So he runs so fast he can't even think? Come on, his decision making needs improvement... Running head on against defenses is not always the best option...
By the way, I'm not hating on him, he has showed he can improve and the raw talent he was signed for, it's just that due to his young age he is still a little bit rough around the edges, that is to be expected...
Yes, he's sometimes frustrating, but the potential is huge and with good coaching he should get better and better.

Dembele always manages to beat the first two defenders but then gets dispossessed cause he fails to release the ball.
But who should he pass to if everyone else is so far behind. Im not sayin that some of his decision making aint suspect
cause it is..but im sure he would thrive alot more if we played quicker

His link up play is class when he's on the move and dribbling but releasing at the right time like you said.
I feel when he's static and passes that's when he makes more misplaced passes.
