I have an extreme opinion which might get me banned:

If he was integrated to the team better and given a Neymar-like role, I don’t have a single doubt that he would produce just as much, if not more than Neymar. This kid is a special talent that very few members here see. His confidence has been absolutely zapped by horrible man management. Coutinho is playing over him. What has coutinho done that dembele hasn’t? Before dembeles big injury he was a regular starter. He was scoring or assisting in nearly every match. How has this been forgotten so fast?

He was starting until he got fucking injured for the 100th time

If this idiot scored that chance for 4-0 we would have been in the final because Lpool wouldn't even try after that. He could learn something from this but I doubt considering his low IQ.

You are deluded if you think it is his goal that determined our loss. Just look at the highlights of today’s game again.

what's wrong with you idiots always attacking this man's IQ. his missed the shot. whatever. him demonstrating low IQ would be receiving that ball and kicking it off the field for a throw in, dribbling it into the net, etc. not attempting a shot on goal

he did everything right, he ran with the play (which no one else on the team does), cut back to find himself some space, but just unfortunately missed. tough luck. not everyone is as clinical as a messi.doesnt mean he's stupid because he scuffed a chance that he created you ignoramus

Better for him to not score that goal. If you can't defend a 3 goal lead than there's seriously something wrong with the tactics and selection. At this point, I think even a 4-0 lead cant save Valverde. Imagine if they played with Firmino or Salah. Even our team had rests while this guys were stacked with injuries, and went all out against Newcastle. No excuses.

He simlly made a mistake in taking a shot. Plenty players do. You're reading too much into it.

He commonly scuffs his shots, always shooting into the crowd or keeper. Its clear that he shoots it aimlessly and hopes for the best. That's why we question his IQ.

(that and the fact that he's incapable of being involved in build up play).

It's idiotic to blame the loss on him though. The team is old, unremarkable, unbalanced, and the manager's shit.

That means he have bad shooting not that he is a dumb player. He is always involved on our build up whenever he plays. The only thing that he lack to be a consistent work class player is his composture on the final third.

That isn't demonstrative of a players IQ but a lack of the correct shooting mechanics. The events that led to the attack unfolding would demonstrate to you that he's not this clueless idiot that you clowns are trying to make him out to be. His ability to follow the play and precisely put himself in position to latch onto Messi's cutback would let you know that he's using his footballing brain and not just reacting on pure impulse on the field like you guys make it seem.

And his lack of involvement in linkup play isn't indicative of his "lack of IQ", but the fact that he plays under a coach whose offensive system is simply non-existent and consists of funneling everything through Messi. Anyone who watched him play as a CAM in Dortmund could tell you that he was a integral part of their buildup play along with Reus.

A manager like Tuchel isn't going to boast and sing high praises for you because you're a low IQ player who just simply knows how to kick and run with the ball. Sorry, it doesn't work like that despite whatever narrative you're trying to paint.

Ronaldo had multiple scuffed shots like that EVERY game before he turned into the clinical beast that he's now become in recent years. But instead lauding him for missing those shots and labeling him as "unintelligent", he was praised for his position and ability to place himself in goal scoring positions.

Aside from Messi, he is the ONLY player on this team who consistently places himself in goal scoring positions. His only issue is that he lack the proper mechanics to score consistently. Watching a player like Sterling's game develop from where he was in Liverpool/his first season in Man City to where he is now under Pep's tutelage just let you know that all Dembele needs is the right coach.

That miss probably did him wonders in the the long run because at least it'll mean that this piece of shit manager is out of here and Barca can finally get a manager that can mold the young talent that they have.

He has next year, he will have new manager, some more youth in the team along him. He will be 22 playing his 3rd year in the club and 5th season in top 5 leagues.
For me, next year is make or break for him.

Don't even know why he's trending when he didn't even play. Disgraceful to be blaming him or even holding him accountable for being eliminated...even though he missed that chance, we were all sure that 3-0 would be enough. And by all accounts, it should've been, easily. As for the 2nd leg, he couldn't do a thing to prevent it, the only difference if he played would be, that he'd be the one to come into the match for the last 10 minutes instead of Malcom...and it really would be the same thing than in Rome in that case.

Dembele, alongside Messi, Arthur, MATS, De Jong, Alena, Malcom, Lenglet, Pique, Semedo, Umtiti, Busquets (his playing time reduced substantially), Alba and maybe Vidal is the only one that should be counted on from next season forward. Promote Wague to back up Semedo, and maybe Puig.

I still have faith in Dembele and I wish people weren't so hard on him

most people here are morons, blaming someone who has not even played .lol
they need tissues.
shit on Suarez, Coutinho, Roberto, Alba, Valverde, mediocre players except Messi and Stegen.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
It's not that people are blaming him, but after two seasons you would expect him to have made some progress... He has ridiculous raw talent, but every season that passes it looks harder for him to reach his potential...

Him missing chances is not the cause of us getting wrecked, but shows his head is not in the right place, he is his own worst enemy...

Fuck you forever for that miss, though had he scored that might also just not be enough in the circumstances...
