UEFA does it at times but they are inconsistent, Calhanoglu for example got a 4 month football ban.

Well they should be consistent with it .. 4 months is not enough. Players do not sign contract in Pyongyang. They sign of their own will. Respect and honor your obligations, it is as simple as that. Imagine Messi ditching the training to move to city for ex, how would barca fans feel?. If for Dortmund Dembele is worth more than what Barca offers, why the fuck should they sell ? Because of the good of their hearts or because Barca fans think they should ? These actions from clubs will result in worse situation than we currently have when it comes to release clauses, agent fees, etc. It will encourage players to defend their 'rights' by adding more and more complicated clauses in their contracts and in the end football will suffer. Players will become money-oriented instead of being joy-oriented. Dembele, Coutinho and Verratti want to leave not because of money, but because of happiness of playing good football, the joy of fighting for actual trophies, playing alongside geniuses of football, and their clubs are DENYING them this opportunity?!?!?! Liverpool is, they said Coutinho is not for sale.
Dortmund isn't, they said we want you to pay the price we think he is worth.

Not sure what makes them hypocrites though, they both declared precisely what they want.

Proven nothing? Dominated both the French and the German league before turning 20. Kicker ranked him as the second best outfield player in the Bundesliga last season among non-Bayern players. A contract is a Obligation for both parties. If Dembele has a serious injury - Dortmund still have to pay is wages. Or could they just stay at home and pout like highschool Girls ? Seeing that a lot of People here are ok with his behaviour make me sick though. I just hope he pulls the same here when PSG offer him 60M wages. Let's see if his dream isn't playing in France then.
