This guy was always going to be a talent. He will improve even further. If RM are going to get Mbappe we have to get this guy. Absolutely have to.

So so good.
Been following him since the beginning of last season when I heard he was a Barca fan and dreamed of playing here. And also because I like Dortmund too.
For a first season in a really competitive league, saying that he did pretty good would be an understatment.
Excellent pace, dribbling, vision and stamina. Especially for a 19 y/o.
Helps that he ambidextrous. Can virtually play anywhere up from with his skillset.
He is a bit raw, shows something when u watch him but he is also a match winner.
Will only get better.
Verratti and Him would be the perfect summer for me.

just break the bank and pay whatever amount dortmund want for him and get Verratti & Semedo. next summer we can focus on another Midfielder & a CB

We can't afford both VERRATTI and Dembele. It would have to be one or the other. If we get Dembele we could move for Seri or Lemar. Dembele upfront with Lemar/Seri, Rakitic and Busquets.

we could pay dortmund something like 35 mil now , let him stay 1 more year and then pay something like 50 mil more next year when he gets here.

If we sign him, I'm not sure Verratti should be the midfielder we sign. We'd play Dembele at RW and move Messi to CM...we'd need the other CM to have pace and a set of lungs to compensate for Messi's lack of defense and physicality. Someone that can get back quickly to defend, since Busquets is our DM and is slow as hell. Verratti is absolute quality, but he's short and not very fast. We'd be just as weak vs counters as we are now, if not worse.

Dembele looks very impresssive. What he did this season at 19 is very impressive. Looks great and has unbelievable potential. I wouldn't mind signing him and then someone to run their lungs out for Leo. We could have the most lethal offense in football, again.

Verratti is not that slow, at least compared to our current midfield. Rakitic-Busquets and Iniesta. These guys are super clumsy compared to Verratti. Not to mention Verratti doesn't really rely too much on speed, he is just super smart and good defensively, making well timed tackles. He is not the fastest, but saying he would keep our midfield as slow is just wrong. He would be the quickest player in our midfield. (Starting roster)

I like what I see from highlight vids and interested to read more about our possible formations going into next season. Interesting.

I still think with our current system Verratti/Natural CM would be our most needed buy. Perhaps Bobby can be given the opportunity to shine at CM since he made a name for himself in crucial moments for us last season. He deserves a shot. I like Rakitic as option paired with Seri/Iniesta and Busquets/Samper. Not sure how to configure that midfield but one thing is for sure, Valverde has to get it right. Next season is critical.
