Isn't he operating on the other side of the pitch? In Rakitic position? And isn't he more of a box to box mid/winger? Keep in mind i don't know him very well. Just what i've heard about him here or there.
Also would Monaco be willing to part ways with so many players? Silva is already gone, Mendy and Fabinho are also on the move. They'll be left with a very thin squad.

He is nothing like Iniesta, not even similar. Lemar is totally different type of player. He is more LW than LM and he never plays as CM player. He is also more about the pace than control.

We don't know. If such deals fail in an early phase clubs keep it secret. It's kind of an embarrassment for proud clubs if a player turns down your offer and joins another club. Look how United played down their Griezmann interest after Atlétis ban was upheld.

Honestly It would be superb if we could sign this guy. He could become world class in very short time. I am afraid he will be much more expensive next year.
