Hard to believe Rennes actually agreed to sell him for this amount. Still dont believe it. Maybe they get at least 50% of any sell-on fee, plus other various incentives added on to the 15m.

Something aint right about that bare bones transfer fee.

Would be no real reason for him to agree to move to Barca then go on loan.

Yup. Besides, our loanees over the past seasons don't exactly have the best track record in regards to succesfully returning to the club, so I really can't see why he'd agree to that.
But hey, let's just shit at the management whenever the chance arrives - no matter how far fetched it may be.

He's obviously going to be a starter, coming for a record breaking fee. But Messi in the midfield with Busi and another guy is cringeworthy stuff. Especially with someone like Dembele and Ney on the sides. We'll get slaughtered defensively. Messi will not track back.

i get your point. if this transfer goes through its certain messi will play more centrally and deep in mid. I guess to give the mid more balance towards defense, busquets and gomez/rakitic will have to play more defensively.

Another thing, following this its more logical to go for somedo instead of bellerin.

we probably will be looking at 3-4-3 (with three CBs) and two wingbacks (somedo & alba) making the two wide midfielders /wingbacks role.

then we will rely on Gomes, Rakitic, Iniesta for next season too? i dont mind if we only have 1 signing (Verratti) this summer since midfield is our main problem for at least 2 season.
