The stories themselves or the fact that there are lot of 'stories' ?

I hope they are nonsense as I have extremely high hopes for this kid ..

Quite a few headlines saying he's great with space to run into but has nothing when there's no space - something that we face continually ...

he does not need space or small spaces, he has already moved a mountain!

Is true that most stories seem to be complete fabrication ....

That said there are a remarkable amount of 'stories' currently circulating clearly suggesting that the club has concerns about Dembele's suitability for Barca's set up ... So many different sources saying we will listen to offers / trades for him in the summer ... quite odd really

Which sources?

Not one credible source has suggested he's leaving, not a single one, not even MD or Sport.

If you believe we want to sell Dembele this summer you also believe all the other BS that Don Ballon, Diaro Gol, The Express and The Sun write.

Of course we struggled. We played everything through Messi again. Our FB's had bad games and Vidal is nowhere good enough to penetrate Valencia's bus. That + tired Iniesta is a recepie for full Messi dependencia. The goal we scored was 90% Messi's work again.
Repeating the same nonsense over and over doesn’t make it right. Barcelona came up against a Valencia team that put on a defensive clinic. Valverde considered it to be the best defensive performance against us this season. It really was that good.

It was all pretty even in terms of attack too... Iniesta had 90 touches, Rakitic 75, Messi 108 and Busquets 102. On the flanks Alba had 140 and Roberto 103.

Coutinho who played only about 30 minutes had 40 touches.

And even if everything had gone through Messi. Who else do think has the vision split open that type of defense?

Noone has. That's exactly our problem. The touches are irrelevant, because we can pass the ball around the box for ages and the touches would be equally distributed.

There is no denying that Alba and Bob had a terrible game. Especially the latter, who probably should have been sent off. Iniesta also looked a lot less sharp than he usually does.

Anyway, I think that players like Dembele can provide the plan B for games like these and can save us from passing the ball into the crowd of defenders towards Messi, who then tries to take them on. Teams will always put a lot of defenders on Messi and IMHO we need to use this to our advantage instead of hoping that Messi dribbles them all (which still happens sometimes).

Selling Dembele next off-season would be huge loss in many ways, not just money but face as well. We spent 145mil on him and after one season we sell because he is not suited for this team? That would make us look bad.. You don't buy players for 100mil plus unless you're certain they're going to fit your team.

It's utter bullshit.

In an ideal world you’ll play Dembele on the left wing, Suarez as the striker and Messi on the right wing but Messi has long since been a winger and his talents are wasted out wide in my opinion.

What I’d do and I probably sound like a broken tape recorder now is drop Suarez. Play Coutinho/Denis as the left wings, Messi/Suarez through the middle and Dembele/Arnaiz as the right wings and play Iniesta, Busquets and Rakitic in midfield.

That way, you get all your creative and technical players in their preferred positions, maintain width and give yourself options. Alternatively you play 3-3-1-3 if Suarez has to play. Alba and Roberto lose out in this scenario.

Suarez is scoring a lot of goals and they’re very welcome but he still fumbles attacks and due to him playing on the left Iniesta is pushed a tad to wide for my liking.

Don Balon are a joke, as if Dembele would leave Barca to play under Moureen

hopefully he can stay fit, got a feeling he'll be crucial towards the end of the season

I see this a lot, especially from Liverpool fans.

What does Maureen mean lol?

Barca spent too much time and money to get Dembele. No way the management would give up the Neymar replacement project this easily.

Just look at how many chances/years the other fringe players like Deuleufo, Gomes, Dennis, Vidal got.

I won't be surprised if the EPL teams started these rumors hoping to stir up a rebellion.

It wouldn't be a bad thing if Barto trashes these rumor right away
