Noone has. That's exactly our problem. The touches are irrelevant, because we can pass the ball around the box for ages and the touches would be equally distributed.
There is no denying that Alba and Bob had a terrible game. Especially the latter, who probably should have been sent off. Iniesta also looked a lot less sharp than he usually does.
Anyway, I think that players like Dembele can provide the plan B for games like these and can save us from passing the ball into the crowd of defenders towards Messi, who then tries to take them on. Teams will always put a lot of defenders on Messi and IMHO we need to use this to our advantage instead of hoping that Messi dribbles them all (which still happens sometimes).
In an ideal world you’ll play Dembele on the left wing, Suarez as the striker and Messi on the right wing but Messi has long since been a winger and his talents are wasted out wide in my opinion.
What I’d do and I probably sound like a broken tape recorder now is drop Suarez. Play Coutinho/Denis as the left wings, Messi/Suarez through the middle and Dembele/Arnaiz as the right wings and play Iniesta, Busquets and Rakitic in midfield.
That way, you get all your creative and technical players in their preferred positions, maintain width and give yourself options. Alternatively you play 3-3-1-3 if Suarez has to play. Alba and Roberto lose out in this scenario.
Suarez is scoring a lot of goals and they’re very welcome but he still fumbles attacks and due to him playing on the left Iniesta is pushed a tad to wide for my liking.
