Depending on Alena buyback I would do it. Let them develop Alena for us and get Dembele for reasonable fee?

With a buy back option? Hot damn.

Even I'd take that deal and I personally think Alena would transition to the first team smoother than anyone.

No rumors of Alena considering to leave at all. He's set to sign a new extension and is expected to float between the first and reserve squads if the B team gains promotion.

I think it is 12M now (or soon in a week or so) and Alena is on his way to sign a new contract himself and is strongly connected to the club.

It is 3m now and going up to 12m on 1st July from what have read.

Even if 12m dont see how Alena with a buy back swings things for Dortmund.

Two things:
1-Alena himself: everything indicates he is determined to succeed here and the feeling is mutual. If a foreign club came with an offer to pay your buyout clause it means you are out and possibly for good. If it is a bought + buyback it means it is an agreement of an expensive loan to succeed,which happened in Barca with Denis and with RM in Morata. That is more attractive offer for Alena
2- A 12M in addition to 30+20? that is 42M+20 add ons. That sound more like a realistic deal. Dembele isn't worth any of the numbers rumored atm. BVB has never been that good in selling their players either.

indeed. that would certainly keep us competitive. i doubt it will happen though. we might get one, at an exorbitant price, but probably not both

Dont agree with that. Think if Alena was told the club were willing to give him up as part of an exchange he would be open to move to more clubs than just Dortmund.

For Dortmund it makes more sense then to pay the 12m with no buy backs.

Doesnt make any sense to me having him as part of the deal for Dortmund.
