What kind of logic is this? It’s better to introduce a player to a team that is already functioning well.

Of course it's better, but Valverde's machine doesn't have a spot for him. It'll take a lot of adjusting.

He'll surely be useful as an impact sub.

Team that is doing great has more to lose by trying to fit in another piece. So yeah, it is serious question. More than your 4-3-3 obsession anyway.

So you would have this amazing talent as well as Coutinho play as little as possible as to maintain this double pivot which is beginning to be exposed for the limited system it is.

And it is not an obsession. It’s logic. When everybody is fit this team is tailor made for 4-3-3. Switched to a 4-3-3 against Valencia too.

Not necessarily. Dembélé can play in our current system. He can play instead of Vidal/Gomes. He is used to get the ball in deeper positions and carrying it forward. He did it at Dortmund all the time. Of course he will have to work hard off the ball. Don't see why he shouldn't.

Dembélé is not going to play in midfield. It would mean both he and Coutinho as wide midfielders. It’s a recipe for disaster.

This double pivot thing only works if you field the workhorses. Look how easy Alaves and Valencia opened is up on the counter. When Valverde switched to 4-3-3 against Valencia they couldn’t counter as effectively.

Exposed? It's the best system to play to our strengths. Messi and Suarez are comfortable. Busquets and Rakitic work good too.

And no I don't want Coutinho to rot. He should play as LW where he is most comfortable and have Iniesta rationed for CL. When Iniesta starts he can play as RW but it's just short term anyway as Iniesta will slowly assume Xavi's 2015 role next season.

Yes it’s been exposed recently. Whenever the double pivot is used we get hit on the counter easily.
