No. Roberto received the ball only 13 times in the attacking third prior to the Dembélé substitution. And yes Roberto is always going to be more involved in build up play because Barça play out from the back and he is often wide in midfield. Did Roberto also not want the ball enough?

And Dembele had total of what, 10 passes? He kept himself isolated and didn't want the ball. Don't know why I mentioned Roberto anyway, he's not important for the post.

If the plan is not working, you ain't helping the team sticking to your initial position. Fact. Had a lazy game, that's about it.

He had a bad game. Playing in front of Paulinho didn't help.

Let's hope he picks it up and is better on Wednesday.

until he learns the basic level of pass and move im not interested at all in his dribbling.. i dont understand his logic at the moment.. he is so clumsy, yet instead of going slowly and making simple passes he goes for those through balls which he always miss because so far he has not developped any understanding with his teammates.

It's good that he goes for attacking passes, considering that our team is dependent solely on Messi for chance creation. But he should be a substitute in La Liga matches and he's not ready yet for Champions League knock out stages.

I believe that he will prove doubters wrong again against Roma. Let's be honest, against Sevilla everyone were crap but still he had some moments.

He lost the ball more than usual, made a good overhead cross to the far post to Jordi which almost led to Suarez's scoring, a 2nd individual run and cut-back to Suarez and a good solo dribble action past 2 or 3 defenders ending with a shot on target but easy stop for Rico. Not his best game but not atrocious at all, given how little he saw of the ball. One of the big issues in that game was Busi's absence, resulting in a sloppy, hesitant midfield with lots of gaps in the center exposing us to quick counter-attacks. This vulnerability could pop up again vs Roma if Pique still plays injured and Busi not at 100%. Valv could play Bob in midfield and use Semedo's quickness on the right. Roma's got good pace and attacking threat on both wings.

On the positive, players have had more time to reset from the intl. br. and they're surely pumped up after that 2 goals down comeback 10 min from the end. Let's see how it goes.

edit: dunno if Semedo is game-ready or still in recovery though...

Some people's agenda on here is as clear as day. He's had a good run of matches until this last one against Sevilla in which he disappointed and the usual suspects come out of the woodwork bashing the guy, calling him a flop, the black Deulofeu etc. The only time this thread becomes active is when he has a bad match, there are people on this forum that actively want to see him fail, pathetic.

He's 20 years old and has been on a good run of form prior to his last match. Every player, young players especially have bad matches from time to time. If this starts to become a trend then there might be a cause for concern, but one sub-par match is nothing out of the ordinary for a player his age. Give it a rest.

This kid gets lambasted every time he makes a mistake, but Coutinho can go an entire match while playing like shit and nobody even blinks any eye. The double standard is ridiculous.

You're welcome
Needs to improve his first touch. Ball bounces off his foot too often. Other than that think he's showing progression.
