All we had to do was play aggressive like in the first leg and walk away with score likely something like 3-1, but EV chose to lineup the most defensive team, park bus and play long balls to Messi/Suarez, it just fucking sucks that he will still be our manager next season, fucking disgusting.

Again , add nothing of substance and great players do that even in the space of few minutes.
He had like 10 mins to do something and he looked more dangerous in the small time he was on than compared to the likes of Messi etc.

Valverde should have subbed him on much earlier when we were one down but instead he waits until it was 4-4 with barely 10 mins to go to sub him on with a shit ton of pressure on him to score. Blame Valverde's cowardly ass for waiting so long to introduce him.

This was a game that would have been perfect for Dembele to play in. Roma were leaving a lot of space behind the CBs but Suarez and Messi were to slow and immobile to exploit it.

Completely agreed.

The few minutes were plenty enough to show how huge of a difference this guy could have made.

Not only that, but his pace and runs would have also made it difficult for Roma to mark Messi (and Suarez) as tightly.

Would argue that Valverde's disastrous decision to keep Dembele on the bench was what cost us the CL.

We were never going to win CL. Our luck would have run out sooner or later.

Only rocket scientists realized that it was completely Dembele's fault that Barca's trusted 4-4-2 couldn't counter attack for shit for 85 minutes even with a 3-goal lead.

I want to see him starting in every single game till the end of the season. There is no excuse for Valverde now anymore. We need to see if this kid can develop or not and he needs to be tested every single week!

I want to see him starting in every single game till the end of the season. We need to integrate him for the next season!

He needs to be on the left with Messi and Griez rotating other two positions and midfield given job of building up play and getting it to those three in final third.

Messi with a bit more license to drop but not be the go to man centrally in final third so much.

Thats my masterplan.

I am not sure if left side is his best, and you have to remember Coutinho is also there. Only thing I am sure now is that I would bench Suarez if Griezmann comes.

If he was beast on the left wing so far Valverde would have used him in that position.

Not been a beast on the right either and if Griez signing then would rather right for him and Messi.

Just cant see a touch line winger type suiting Barca team and it is area Messi should be gravitating to for me.

Dembele should not start in big games for this season. Lineup we had vs Roma should be our starting 11 in CL semis and hopefully final. Hopefully he will have a good preseason with the team with Coutinho and be more integrated next season and more calm and fixes his attitude issues as well.

great decision that was

Dembele is a wonderful player and i hope he gets a decent run to prove his worth. He’s one of the few players in our current squad that can make things happen
