Mixed bag, so far. Not unexpected for a 20 year old in his first 1/2 Barca season.

I would not start him in El Clasico next weekend, but the final three games of the year would be a fine time to get him some experience.

Funny thing, people say it has an average season but Dembélé contributes to a goal every 100 minutes. It's very impressive for everyone. Nevertheless, each time he becomes titular, he creates more chances than Messi and Souarez .

He won't do shit with Valverde as a coach, he needs a coach who can develop his potential (just like Firmino under Klopp)

I am waiting for the May 15th so that people won't use this: "He is only 20" reply anymore.
For the next 365 days, AT LEAST we'll read: "He is only 21" response.

so age is not a factor for you? my question also was 'what do you expect from him next season?'

Paulinho was also probably contributing to a goal that often until recently as well

My point was that I am tired of posts like: he is only 20, and people forgiving him everything.
Whatever he does: he is 20.
So, in a few days he will be 21.
In 380 days, he will be 22 etc.
With each new year, this alibi won't work anymore.

About Dembele, I have to add that I am spoiled to some extent.
When Barca doesn't win a CL, I am sad.
Winning La Liga is not that special for me. I am not saying that it is irrelevant.

In that sense, in terms of players, I am "excited" only when a player has that level which can improve our team a lot and when a player alone (or 2 players together) can lead a team to a CL glory.
This is just my opinion, I don't see Dembele as some future leader or top, top, top world class player.
Further, also, in post Messi era, we'll need some other leader, besides Dembele.
I don't see Dembele as a guy who can be a leader.
As said before, he can be a supporting player, not a key man.

But anyway, since for 150M we wanted to buy a true superstar, I just don't see Dembele as a good 150M deal in general.
I know, I know, he has potential.
Well, I don't think that he will reach his potential at Barca since we have a different style and we won't change our style for him, plus 3-4-5 years of waiting for him to reach an elite level is not worth for a club like Barca.

What am I expecting in the next season?
He could be the same or slightly better. I am not expecting a 150M guy, though. Some 70M guy, more likely.

Dembele will be vital for our squad. After Neymar left, we have no one to stretch the opposition. No one to pick the ball and run with it for 30m or 40m. Dembele is that guy, he has already shown some of his qualities and can only get better. Is he worth 150m? Of course not, hardly anyone in world football is, but lets forget about the price tag and enjoy the footballer.

Well... the 150m happened cus Neymar told the hold world we have the god damn 200m to spent. This also apply to Coutinho.

Why don't we judge the man or men by quality and prospect alone since the value has so many factors involved?

Any player in the world would cause us 2-3 times more of there real value last transfer marke even the like of Rashford, Wallcot etc. Got the point?

If it was the normal circumstances I would be the first to criticize him fot not worthing the money but it was not normal.

A loan? Might as well sell him and sign Renato Augusto or some shit instead. Are these idiots really going to try to make Griezmann play like a pure winger? Or have they decided to have no pace or width in the team whatsoever?

Suarez has 4 goals in his last 19 CL games. Two years.

But we're obviously going to carry him forever.

I'm not even that mad, but I don't get what their plan is? This will only make the team even slower.

It's Paco Aguillar writing about this loan to Atletico, I can't believe anyone is still taking his articles seriously.

Dembouz is going nowhere.

Didn't know it was that dumbass again. The only thing he's good for is his inside sources in UEFA and FIFA.

But I wouldn't be too surprised if it's true. Kind of makes sense. The club would want him to play every week and have continuity and that won't happen if Suarez is undroppable no matter how bad he plays and Griezmann is signed.

I wish we had someone in the club strong enough to make some tough decisions to move on from players or just be able to bench them.

Yep the man is so unreliable when it comes to transfers and plans in regards to our current players it surprises me so many people still hold him highly.
