Mbappe yes, others no. Can you imagine dembele playing under klopp or saari. We play defensive football, and in this system dembouz cant thrive. We have a special young player and you guys want him out, outrageous.

We don't play defensive football or we wouldn't win games like last seasons copa final with huge goal margins

I agree that his IQ is the main problem but some of you should realize that he is a WINGER! In Valverde's system players which suffer the most are wingers. We basically don't have them. Look at yesterdays game. Our wingers were Coutinho and Rafinha, none of those two is a classical winger. In the end Sergi Roberto played there! We aren't playing classical 4-3-3 formation and that would be a problem for every winger not just Dembele.

Neither is Dembele tbh.
Classical wingers in the old school sense were the ones who play beside the sidelines and aim for cross, pass etc. sort like Deulofeu when he plays on RW.
Modern days wingers are usually more scoring oriented, the way Messi and Cr7 have played in their prime, or even Hazard or Neymar.
Dembele doesn't do either, he has been an AM/Winger hybrid. It was supposed to be one of his strength during BVB days, some even argued AM is his best position because of that (which I think was wrong argument)
A player like him should actually fit nicely in current system and yet it is the opposite.
You can make the coach argument, although I still think better coaches won't tolerate him as much as people thinking but we will never know until he has a new coach.

He won't be at Barcelona next season. I think his attitude is piss poor too and you cannot blame that on Valverde.

I honestly don't see how could he be an AM/Winger hybrid. Coutinho can play both but Dembele for sure not. IMHO he is LW/RW and that's it.

I've backed him ever since he was signed him, but his effort and nonchalant nature on the pitch is downright pathetic. A lot of other players have been benched for a long time and barely got to play, but still played like their life depended on it when given a chance. This dude is so lethargic and careless when he plays it's infuriating.

You can put the lack of development on Valverde, but he just lacks the heart and drive way too much for me. He has to improve big time instead of sulking out there. He's had the same issues with France where the only reason he's still being selected is based off his talent, he's warned by Deschamps indirectly several times about not taking his football seriously enough and apparently lacking a competitive drive.

There can be no excuses for that. If he doesn't have the competitive drive or the willingness to work hard out there when he plays then there's no point in keeping him at the club. This dude need a reality check from someone soon or else he'll let his talent go to waste.

People ignore way too many plays like this where it looks like he's mentally out of it:

Some of his other average, careless performances have been overshadowed by his goals too.

Dembouz is the future of FC Barcelona, he needs to stay, once Leo gets older, Dembouz can be the main man and play more central, he's a work in progress guys for god's sake, he's still young and learning, needs more time to develop and reach his best.

Lol he is not fit to place Messi's boots let alone replace him.

To be fair we'll know for sure during this season if he is gonna make it here or not. I agree with you that his attitude against Sevilla was awful, so let's see now how will he play next time he get's a chance. I am still defending him but of course he can not repeat that attitude ever again. If he keeps up doing stuff like that no one will defend him anymore for sure. If he is showing the lack of respect for this club than why don't we try out Malcom? Something is fishy here.

I don't know if stories behind him are true or not (bad eating habits, arriving late on training etc.) but if those rumors are true than I really don't understand why are we putting up with this? Those things should have been corrected from the start and that's also Valverde's responsibility. Imagine what would happen if he was doing that to Pep!!! If a player is showing the lack of respect for a club or his teammates than YOU DON'T PLAY HIM AT ALL and you force him to behave or he goes to the stands.

love dembele, but that moment really pissed me off. he could have showed why he deserved to play in the starting 11 when messi was out but no. Great great talent but low iq and wrong mentality.

"talents of Dembeles qualities are rare and world class is almost impossible to get on the wings."

I can think of 5 young wingers that are better than pace merchant Dembele right now. And many more experiance pros that are better than him.

Hazard, Mbappe, Insigne, Mane, Di Maria, Bailey, Lozano, Koman just to name a few.

Leon Bailey? You have to be kidding me. He's not even a guaranteed starter in Leverkusen, who are currently in the bottom third of the BuLi. The rest of them, sure. That's fair. Though Lozano is also a bit of a stretch in my opinion.
