Is that you, Neymar?

Slowly getting close to it...
He is such an outstanding talent that I just nodding my head when listening to all the horrible shit that otherwise good folks used to write here. It's his rare talent that finally counts and NOT only some given away balls in games that the entire team is horrible.

But wait: if he has a bad game soon, the vultures will come back for him definitely... (unless they make a changing turn and start picking about Coutinho soon...)

Amazing game. Hopefully he retains his spot when Suarez and Arthur are fit...

When Suarez is back, Dembele will be worse again.
When Suarez is not there, he either tries to look for Messi or tries his own finish. It is NOT possible with the ever shouting Suarez, who cannot handle the simplest balls anymore but tries to privilege himself to be THE finisher, apart from Messi.

This young kid is seemingly scared of the elderly giants, so he will continuously play nicely when there is no external (Valverde and the press) and internal pressure on him.
He needs to become a Neymar type of player, who does his own creative things, by not giving a shit on how everyone else reacts to that... even if often unsuccessful with those gem-like movements...

Suarez definitely affected his game alot because he's extremely slow and bulky in the middle as a central striker any passes to him will end up to Messi or just extremely predictable passes.

Not to mention constantly screaming for a return ball lol, sometimes we are too predictable. Dembele could have gone alone in one occasion, he solo dribbled past 2 and could have gone for another and take a shot but he always tries to pass to someone which ends up getting easily taken out.

And I know when Suarez comes back he might end up in the LW or benched for Coutinho. This kid doesnt flourish on the left wing, he's better with all the space to himself where he can let his pace and creativity flow. Due to that he had alot more fear factor on the right side.

Get Valverde out of here and he’s going to be even better. Really one of best players the past two matches and Valverde subs him. Why the fuck would you do that? Take out one of our aging players. Not the guy who NEEDS game time.

Some say Pedraza is still in hospital because of severe vertigo caused by Dembele. On the other hand Dembele is being criticized by Catalan media because today's show was disrespectful towards some board members who want Neymar back.

Seemed funny and sad at the same time when he's on the counter at full speed, both Messi and Coutinho were like a mile behind as he was way to fast for them.

Dembele is truly fast, probably on the par with Mbappe or slightly less but technically he is better than Mbappe, plays with both feet, so only time will tell if he is able to make it to the pantheon, although under EV he has much less chances for that...

Semedo-Pique-Lenglet-Alba
Dembele-Busi-Vidal-Malcom
---------Suarez-Messi

we need to somehow find a formation where Dembele plays every game at RW/RM whilst keeping Leo and Suarez happy

How about just bench/sell Suarez and play like we've played for 2 games now...it's been beautiful to see some fluidity and speed and our wings actually being a goal threat...and not seeing anyone raising his hands every 2 seconds, when all he ever does with the ball, is look for Messi or lose it himself anyway.

Coutinho-Messi-Dembele is beautiful, and you have Malcom, who can jump in either for Coutinho or Dembele at all times. Bring in a classic talented young striker like Werner, who would be content playing in rotation for 2 years before taking the starting spot, and you have the best looking attack in Europe right there. Sell Suarez, take the decent money, while you still can, and run. Hell, i wouldn't mind doing the same with Rakitic. And bring in the Ajax duo for that money, don't skimp on the money and risk losing them, and you have the best damn team in the world again.

I know he can use both feet, but man he's so much better on the right than he is on the left of the field.

At the start of the season, he had Alba and Coutinho to partner with but it seemed like he was much more restricted as both Alba and Coutinho wanted to be in the space he works best in. At least on the Right-hand side, he doesn't have to worry about the likes of Rakitic/Vidal Roberto/Semedo forcing him into a small section of area.

That's one of the drawbacks I guess with having Alba. He always wants that open space in front of him while the LW/LCM is tucked inside to accommodate Alba's runs. With Roberto/Semedo they seem more willing to play a more support role for someone like Dembele instead.

The only spark we had in this match. Great game. Hopefully he doesn't drop back to the bench when Suarez is back.

This game, despite being a good game, is a good reason why Dembele doesn't fit Barcelona and should leave. He created space by himself (with help of Semedo) at least 8+ times today, but couldn't find a pass because there were no runners/movement inside the box. If that was Tuchel's Dortmund or Favre's he wouldn't have to constantly resort to cutbacks because everyone in the team is so goddamn lazy. Don't see it changing anytime soon.

I totally agree with you, but people here will tell you it's Dembele's fault.

facts... just as football fan i'd love to see him play for a manager/team that would actually accommodate his strengths

the only player i've seen actually make an effort to be on the receiving end of his crosses in these past few games is malcom and he barely starts
