Yeah the Dembele didn't have a great game but he wasn't the only one who had a bad game.
Midfield and Defense were a fucking joke this game. Iniesta was subpar and showing his age, Paulinho was flat out garbage which was the theme for the past 3 months or so and Rakitic was the best of the trio but that's not saying much.
Roberto counting his trend of being subpar since the new year, Pique is mostly playing on one leg these days and Umtiti was awful as well. the only decent player in the backline was probably Alba and even a one legged Pique.

I have no idea how people can be serious about Roberto as a midfielder and Semedo as a RB.
We played that combination like what, 1-2 times this season?
1. Roberto played 100 minutes as a midfielder this season
2. Semedo is always a sub RB
3. Roberto and Semedo (and Dembele) are rarely on a field together and don't have too much chemistry, and a team would lack automatism both in attack and defense which could result in some easy counters and goals
4. Semedo was injured and probably out of form
5. also, what, if we would play Roberto-Semedo, does it mean: Messi-Suarez-Demebele, and Iniesta-Roberto-Busquets midfield? So, ALL of Rakitic, Paulinho, Gomes out? Well, good luck with that part.
In short: in big matches, you don't experiment but you play with a proven lineup.
We could try Roberto-Semedo duo against Las Palmas at Camp Nou, though.

He wasn't good but others struggled too. Players and staff are looking to help him and that's a good sign even if they were frustrated with him.
He will need to step it up though. As others said, even Neymar tracked back and did it often.

Bob playing RB is not his preferred position though. In a sense, he is a victim of his own versatility. Once Semedo recovers fully, it would be good to see him become our main RB, and see Bob get more opportunity in MF. Not necessarily concurrently, should that combination be deemed too experimental. Doing so in easier games could be worth the stretch.
It would be interesting to see if/how well they gel with more time on the pitch together. If they don't though, what would the solution be? A new FB acquisition? Or keep playing Bob in RB, despite Valv's promise to use him more in MF?

He doesnt look like has a bad attitude though he just looks a bit unsure of where to be at times and then over thinking things.
Which at 20 and his price tag is not all that surprising.
Clearly needs to get better but dont think it is an attitude problem.

Against Chelsea Alonso was attacking like fuck as Dembele was not tracking back consistently.
The commentators were talking about it during the game.
Was more or less same as V sevilla and it is not about his attitude or being too lazy to defend.

He played different roles in those games. Against Sevilla he had more attacking tasks because Messi wasn't on the field and Chelsea plays with a different formation with the wingbacks which required more defensive work from Dembele. Also it's not Dembele's fault that Roberto can't defend and needs support all the time even in 1 v 1 situations, Coutinho on the other side doesn't have to do much defensive work because he has a real fullback on his side. And if there was a player to blame for the lack of support for Roberto against Sevilla it's Paulinho.

Umtiti was being dragged all over the place v Sevilla as Alba was caught up pitch all the time and Dembele does not have to defend more or protect Roberto.

He could do no task as we were struggling at the back and in the midfield. He helped none of it.
Coutnho might be lucky to have Alba, but what's the point? Roberto was caught too many times in 2 v 1 situations.
He sticked to his role and didn't pay attention to what's happening on the pitch. That's a lazy game for me.
