There is no perfect RB.. well Reece James when fit is probably closest but obviously impossible.

But the argument is what type of RB could bring in and one who is more comfortable in final third.. it is on club to find that player from there.

At least porque understands finding that perfect RB is pretty easy to write, but who is that player that we could realistically get is another question, but we definitely need a more attacking oriented RB in the Summer, who it is I have no idea.

We tried it with Semedo, Emerson, Dest... In the end, we got 40-year-old Alves back. It is difficult to locate the next big thing. Our scouts must be working overtime

Yea so many L's to replace Alves, Kounde has been the best so far, Maybe he becomes our abidal & we switch the attacking intent down the left.

Would still need a sub attacking RB even in that scenario though.

I also forgot Aleix Vidal, our first attempt while Alves was still here. That was abysmal

Poor signings of the past should have no more impact on good signings.

It is about what is assesing what is out there and not same folk doing it.

Semedo was the only RB signing that made sense due to his profile. He just didn't work out. Doesn't mean you should stop trying though. Most teams are looking for, want or have two FBs who are good going forward.

Options this summer could be guys like Pedro Porro if not signed by Spurs or Real Madrid now, Jeremie Frimpong, Vanderson, Malo Gusto.

Tough to say who would be the best, that's where scouting comes in.

We've also been linked to this Real Valladolid RB Ivan Fresneda. So have Real Madrid, Arsenal and Newcastle, but I don't know much about him and frankly worries me seeing the overall level of this Spanish generation as well as a weaker La Liga.

Semedo was so frustrating because he had everything but the footballing brain. Could have been a top fullback otherwise.

Then every now and then he got it together and played a great game to lead you on with a bit more hope. The week after he is in lalaland on an overhead ball and getting destroyed.

Then we sold him, and somehow reincarnated him into a Dutch guy who wishes he was an American.
