11 - Raphinha

We've also been linked to this Real Valladolid RB Ivan Fresneda. So have Real Madrid, Arsenal and Newcastle, but I don't know much about him and frankly worries me seeing the overall level of this Spanish generation as well as a weaker La Liga.

He's 18. Part of nearly same generation with Gavi and Balde. In good company. This younger generation is better than the one that followed Xavi, Iniesta, and David Villa. They need some talents at forward positions to emerge though...

Semedo was so frustrating because he had everything but the footballing brain. Could have been a top fullback otherwise.

He had good dribbling, good speed, and good physicality. But mentality was not very good. Some players are not cut out for the top level in their head, despite having solid attributes otherwise. Dest is like that as well.

How is Trincao doing at Sporting? If they decide to go for Pedro Porro there could potentially be made a deal there.

Was awful on the ball and had no idea what to do in final third or in build up.

Terrible positonally on defensive end.

He has pace and was okish on the ball at times.

Amaing got money did and isnt great even at Wolves.

Doing well. He would be our 2nd best winger, should have kept him instead of spending 100m+ on Ferran and Raphinha.

Not really that big fan of Porro, at least not for 40m. if we'd go for a Sporting player would prefer Manuel Ugarte. Goncalo Inacio is a good talent too although don't really need a CB. Could be an option if we're looking for left footed CB though. Would prefer Hincapie for that role but looks like he's going to Spurs.

My point was that would be better to keep Trincao as backup to Dembele and use 100m to buy a DM and RB. Would be a better team than having two 60m RWs on the bench because Xavi can't use them or they are not good enough.

And I actually like Raphinha but was never a fan of going into a bidding war for him. Would be ok buying him for 25m if Leeds would be relegated though.

That is a different argument but Raphinha is good bit better than Trincao if comparing the two.

But yes 60m on Raphinha is too much for a back up player and if he remains that they will probably try to sell him.
