Does anyone know Dembele's dribbling stats, out of curiosity? Possibly stratified by level of team (top 4 versus not)?

This season in Liga: 1.1 dribbles per game (32% success rate). Last season is 2.8 per game (66% success), 20/21 is 2.1 per game (64%), 19/20 is 2.8 (48%), 18/19 is 2.3 (61%), 17/18 is 2.4 (59%).

Neymar in 16/17 Liga is 5.6 per game with 62% success rate. In 17/18 Ligue 1 with 7.1 per game (67%).

Dembele second best dribbler??? Next joke . Traore must be greater dribbler than Iniesta if you use that logic.

Overall i think Dembele is a good dribbler. With space, he can be dangerous. His two footed ability is great too. Bad in tight space and first touch.

Mbappe's dribbling stats: 22/23 is 1.8 (35%), 21/22 is 3.2 (54%), 20/21 is 2.9 (50%), 19/20 is 2.8 (51%), 18/19 is 2.2 (55%), 17/18 is 2.9 (58%).

So Mbappe's stat is slightly better. Though Mbappe has way better technique, ball control, i feel Dembele can keep the ball closer to his feet when he runs than Mbappe. So that makes him a slightly better dribbler. No need to compare their brain, attacking sense....

World Cup 2022, Mbappe completed 25 dribbles, Dembele with only 9 dribbles completed.

Still i think Dembele is a better dribbler. Not much though.

Dembele is a better dribbler, but Mbappe has far better decision making and understands his limitations better.

Traore is indeed a better dribbler. His ability to beat a man is insane.

Traore is stronger and faster, that's how he beat his defender in one on one. Overall a good dribbler but not even close to half of Iniesta's dribbling ability.

Maguire made more tackles than VVD but that does not mean he is a better defender.

There is no way Dembouz is better at anything in a footballing sense compared with Mbappe. And i find the ninja turtle overrated(imagine what i think about Dumbele).

The man is english. Their dribbling strategy is kick and run. That's why he values Traore as a better dribbler then Andres fecking Iniesta. I swear, if i would be a mod, guys like Dumbtation wouldn't post in this forum.

Probably doesn't know how efficient Iniesta's dribbling is (so not majorly about their dribbling strategy), plus detailed stats on dribbling success all started around 2016. Like Fbref only has Iniesta's detailed dribbling stats for his last season with us and it's wild cause he completed 81.8 dribbles in the league and 88.9% dribbles in CL. That's even more than Messi's stats (in terms of dribbles completed) though Messi attempts x3 number of dribbles.

Adama is still a prolific top-10 dribbler in the last 6 years in terms of attempted plus completed dribbles and you could also see that in his short loan spell here as he was just moving past defenders like they're not there, even against the likes of Athletico (his bad decision making still remains though), but Iniesta was on another level.

Iniesta is a fantastic ball carrier and dribbled really well but second best after Messi is just typical Barca fan delusion.

Guys like Hazard and Ribery played Tennis.

Getting past people is dribbling irrespective of whether you use your strength, acceleration or close control. Numpties here trying to sound all technical and tactical with their narrow minded rubbish. It's like you have to be an Espanol spouting midget in order to satisfy their "close control" fetish lmao. Adama Traore is a world class dribbler. One of the most effortless ones.

Guys like Ribery, Hazard, Neymar, etc destroy Iniesta in dribbling ability. La Croquetas don't change that. Deal with it.

Iniesta was a mid, while all of the above were forwards/wingers, whose prime job is to beat their man. I'd wager that in terms of efficiency, he beats all of them by good margin.

Penaldo is worse dribbler than Zaha. Cry more. Not even top 100 dribbler.

Adama is good but not even worth to lace Iniesta's boots. Hazard is a good comparison though.

Maguire is dozen times better tackler than VVD. Deal with it loser.
