Too late hombre. Messigician spammed this long time ago. Haha

Edit

Actually first was Raketa10 but usually Messigician gets there first.

Not really sure what these numbers are based on but Raphinha to Barcelona 83%. Azpi 51%.

Gavi going to Liverpool 13%.

Exactly how you'd want it to be. We need Raphinha badly, Gavi staying is essential, and still undecided on Azpi, depending on if we get Mazraoui and/or Pique retiring at the end of the season. If we decide to bring Azpi too, I'd actually like him to fill that 2nd CB acquisition which we really need, even if Araujo stays. Christensen isn't gonna be enough. Need real options like Araujo, Christensen, Garcia and Azpi for CB (sell the others), and Mazraoui and Dest on the right.

Pique, if he continues for what I'd imagine it would truly be his last season, shouldn't be more than an emergency option next season. Same with Alves. I actually hope he's retiring, since I prefer that we just move on from Pique this year and not drag it out, why have him taking all that wage (even after reducing he's still on quite a lot) for being a fringe player? Or possibly him even getting a lot of playing time next season, which would be even worse.

Christensen is a good like for like replacement, so it's time to move on and make a clean break from Pique now. Would do wonders for decreasing any player power left in the squad too. Hopefully we win the Europa and he decides to hang it up while on top (kind of). While Azpi hopefully comes in to replace Mingueza in that CB/RB back up role, for which he is perfect for at his age.

As for Alves, I actually wouldn't mind us giving him a 6 month extension, more as a token of respect than anything else. Just to give him a place to keep training and stay in shape until the World Cup, as a way of thanking him for all that he's done for the club. I imagine he could actually be retiring right after, so he could maybe move into an assistant role after the New Year, keep coaching Dest and Mazraoui on how to become the perfect RB for us. Not to mention he's on peanuts compared to Pique, so it wouldn't make much of a difference in the wage department anyway, even if we won't need him on the pitch anymore with Mazraoui and Dest both hopefully there, fighting for that starting spot every week, and with Azpi able to cover there as well.

So if I understand this correctly, his release clause comes down to 25M if Leeds get relegated??

They have 24 pts to still play for and a 7pt cushion atm - 3 remaining matches vs top 10 teams (Everton with 5 & Watford with 4)

Burnley probably have the easiest schedule left. So, personally, they appear safe to me if I had to guess

If we have agreed terms with him, put in the Griezmann money and get it done for 40-45m as soon as Leeds are clear of relegation.

There was an article today in either Sport or MD saying why we prefer Raphinha to Antony.

https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/barca-prefiere-raphinha-antony-13438292

Raphinha is the consensus name in Barcelona to occupy the role of an Ousmane Demb?l? who continues without renewing and who, today, is more outside than inside the project for next season . The technical secretariat has already decided on the name to reinforce the right winger, also independently of the future of Adama Traor? . There is no way back. Nor will there be a change of 'chrome'. The first offer has been made, which Leeds United have rejected , and will be insisted on until the end.

In the casting carried out by the technical secretariat, there was obviously Antony, the suggestive 22-year-old Brazilian winger from Ajax. Bar?a has always handled first-hand information about the Olympic champion from Canarinho, since he has direct communication with his agents, Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci , the same as Philippe Coutinho.

Antony, who already had offers from the Premier League last summer, can change his mind at the end of the season. Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and PSG, among others, have been interested in his situation. In fact, Ajax has already looked for a substitute for him, Giovanni Henrique , 18, from Palmeiras, who won the last Copinha alongside Endrick , and for whom they already offered 12 million euros in January. Now, they will return to the load. Verdao wants 20 million euros.

FOOTBALL PLAYERS THAT ARRIVE TO BE HEADLINERS
The reason why Barcelona has opted for Raphinha is strictly sporting, since the Leeds and Ajax winger could end up leaving their respective clubs for a price that could be around 40 million euros.

The technical secretariat considers that the footballer represented by Deco is at a higher evolutionary level : he has experience in the Premier League, where in the two seasons he has been playing at a very high level, with a competitive pace (plus his unquestionable technical quality) that has allowed him to shine on the big stages.

Barcelona is looking for footballers ready to land and make a place in the starting 11 for the next campaign. It is not the sporting moment, neither financial nor historical, for bets. It is necessary to recover, in the shortest possible time, the competitive space lost in LaLiga and in Europe. And the profile of Raphinha, 25 years old and who has also played in Portugal and France, fits much better than that of Antony, who it is true that he has experience in the Champions League but has only played in Europe in the Eredivisie.

Why has Xavi given the go-ahead to the signing of Raphinha?
What is currently happening in the Sele?ao is a very valid example of Bar?a's position . Tite also considers that Raphinha is ahead of Antony, thinking about the immediate present and the World Cup in Qatar. The two wingers have had their chance this season with the main Sele?ao and the Leeds footballer has taken over the position of undisputed starter on the right flank, not only beating the Ajax footballer but also players with much more experience in the Canarinha as Gabriel Jesus and Richarlison.

Especially agree with this part, we need some more players in that sweet spot age of 24-28, with some real experience under their belt, in the top 5 leagues if possible. but still with room to grow not even close to their best version with their best years still ahead. And just like Christensen and Kessie, Raphinha checks all those boxes, plus has experience even from not just one, but two of the top 5 leagues, and one of them being the best one. If he's cheaper than Antony (which he probably will be), even better.

Antony, even though younger and looking really good, could still flop the moment he joins a top club in a top league, just like Van de Beek (although his choice of club and the treatment he got was really unlucky for him), but even a better example is Haller, even though he's a bit different, since he's older, and he flopped first and then came to Ajax. Even De Ligt kinda flopped, although he, like VDB, also made the wrong choice on which club to join. Ziyech kinda flopped too, even though he's had a few moments of magic here and there for Chelsea, but overall he's been quite underwhelming for them, I feel.

For Van de Beek and De Ligt, since they are younger and have been unlucky more than anything else, there is still some hope they could turn it around and still turn out great, but only if they leave United and Juve as soon as possible. Even Tadic, who is also like Haller, was nothing special at Southampton, yet he's Ajax and Eredivisie's best player right now. It just shows the difference in levels, I guess. Mazraoui is different, since he's free and a big market opportunity, there's little to no risk there.

From watching his clips the thing i like the most is his aggressiveness. In our worst times we lacked these players lately. Ones that run, fight and are eager to establish themselves as dominant figures. Seems skillful enough for xaviball, probably will be good in pressing and off the ball movement. Better sign bunch of guys like these an then choose between them depending on form and tactical need, than go all out for pie-in-the-sky-Haaland, who is full of himself demanding all these blings for himself and his scoundrel agent.
